Chapter 14

Violet and Autumn started to eat the meal that had been brought over to them; Violet watched as Autumn took a bite of something that was new on the menu and saw her close her eyes "is it good" Violet asks the brunette, she saw her nod her head and take another bite before swallowing "yeah, what is it" Autumn asked Violet curiously "the one you tried is Spiedini and this one is Focaccia with a Caponata" Violet replied to Autumn whilst pointing to the other appetizer on the table. Autumn was shocked at the perfect Italian that Violet spoke "can I have that in English please" she asked with a smile "sure, so the Spiedini is breaded beef kebabs and the Focaccia with the Caponata is a Herbed flat bread with a savoury aubergine dip" the blonde said Autumn watched as Violet broke some of the bread and dipped it into the dip and leant over and offered it to her, Autumn took the offered food and chewed and moaned at the taste, the flavour made her tastebuds tingle "that is amazing, the flavour is so powerful but not overpowering" Autumn says once she had swallowed the food in her mouth.

Violet was happy that Autumn loved the appetizers and could wait for her to try the main meal "I'm glad you enjoyed it darling, wait until you try the main meal" she says to Autumn and smiled when Gabby came to clear the plates when they had finished with the food. Gabby left and 10 minutes came back with 2 bowls of food, Autumn looked and saw some form of pasta dish "darling you have Linguine alla Puttanesca" Violet says once Gabby had put it in front off her, it was another dish that is going to be put on the menu hopefully. Autumn picked up her fork and put some of the food on to it and took a bite and was shocked at how the flavours worked so well together, she hasn't had Italian food like this before and she noticed it had a slight kick to it but not to spicy though "that is amazing, what do you have my sweet" Autumn asked once she had swallowed the food and noticed that Violet had a different meal "I have Malloreddus alla Campidanese" Violet said before taking a bite, this was her favourite meal from Italy and when she opened the restaurant she made sure it was on the menu.

Gabby watched as her boss smiled and laugh with her date; she has known Violet for 7 years when she was hired to be the manager as Violet didn't want to officially run it as manager but just the owner; she was proud of the young woman, Gabby was nearly 60 years old and saw the young CEO as family and she knew Violet classed Gabby as a mother figure in her life. Gabby watched to see the young girl become more like herself again, she had seemed to of lost herself but over the last couple of weeks she has seen the woman become her again and she knew now it was because of the young lady she was with. Violet looked up and saw Gabby watching her and Autumn, she smiled at the older woman and decided to introduce the pair before they had left, she saw Gabby walk off to continue with serving and cleaning the restaurant; she brought her attention back to her brunette and could believe how lucky she was to have met her "Sweet are you going to explain how everyone knew what to serve us now" said brunette said to Violet and she knew she had to explain to her. "So darling as you know I own Biocorp, however I also own two other companies, but I only own those and not actually work there like I do with Biocorp" Violet explained to Autumn and she could tell she was confused so she quickly carried on "I started Biocorp when I was 20 years old, after running it for 2 years, I went back to university at 22 but did it online, so I could still run Biocorp. I got 2 more degrees, one was in culinary and the other in journalism; I only did it for fun but once I obtained them I decided to open up a restaurant and a journalism company" Autumn heard Violet explain and it slowly made sense to the brunette "you own this restaurant don't you" she says to the blonde "yeah I opened this restaurant 7 years ago when I was 27 years old" Violet explained putting her head down thinking Autumn wouldn't want to be with her anymore.

Autumn was shocked, the blonde went back to university just for the fun of it, she owned 2 companies and a restaurant, no wonder the blonde was constantly running around and doesn't know how to relax "you are one of the most amazing human beings that I know" Autumn said the blonde, she watched as Violet looked at her in shock "wait your not going to tell me that I'm stupid or just laugh and leave" Autumn heard Violet whisper and it shocked her when she heard the comments "why would I tell you that your stupid or leave" Autumn asked the blonde "well because I'm busy and don't have a normal schedule and probably won't be constantly available and you would realise that I'm not worth it because I won't be able to spend time with you sometimes" the blonde said to Autumn and it broke Autumn's heart that Violet would think she would leave her because of that and she realised that is why her ex left her once she found out how busy she could get "I would never be mad or think you are not worth it because of your job, that is what happened with your ex didn't it" she asked Violet and saw the blonde nod her head "well I would never leave you because you are busy, okay I understand that you might not always be there if I ring you or need you but I do know that you will get back to me when you can, or even a text to let me know when you will ring me back, these companies are a show of how hard you worked my sweet" Autumn told the blonde grabbing her hand tightly, she was sad that Violet felt like she has to hide parts of herself to be in relationships so she doesn't get hurt. Violet looked at Autumn and could believe what she was hearing, she felt herself tear up slightly because nobody has reassured her about her jobs and that they will still be there for her "my darling nobody has ever made me feel more better about my jobs and life choices before who are not my family, many people don't realise it's not easy to run companies and have a life outside the office" Violet says to Autumn and watched as her eyes softened "shall we get ready to leave my sweet and go and watch a film on your couch" Autumn said to Violet who nodded "sure but I want to introduce you to someone first" Violet said before shouting Gabby over to the table.

Autumn watched as the woman who had served them all night come over to the table "Gabby, questo è l'autunno, la bella cara della mia vita di cui ti ho parlato al telefono" Violet said to who Autumn said to Gabby in perfect Italian and Autumn understood Gabby but nothing after that, she saw Violet turn to Autumn and introduced her to Gabby "darling this is Gabby, she is the manager of the restaurant" Violet introduce them and she saw Gabby turn to Autumn and said "Ciao Autunno, è bello finalmente incontrare la signora di cui mi hanno parlato, grazie per avercela riportata" Autumn looked at Violet to help her to understand what the Italian said "Gabby said 'hello Autumn, it is nice to finally meet the lady that this one has told me all about, thank you for bring her back to us'" Violet translated to Autumn before looking at Gabby and said "Cosa intendi tornando da noi, non sono mai partito" she heard Gabby laugh before she replied to her in English this time and said "now sweetheart, I meant you are showing more of your true self and the happy girl that I first met" which caused Violet to blush bright red, which caused Autumn and Gabby to laugh at her.
