These days, Athy wondered what it meant to live. In this life, she felt helpless in a way she hadn't in her previous one. If she were a normal child, that incident and the meetings with Claude would likely remain a lifelong trauma.

She just wanted to gather more gold and get out of there as soon as possible. Readjusting her perspective, she now thought that plan B would work out better than plan C. 'How in the world am I supposed to make that psychopath fall for me!?' She felt slightly downcast, as her efforts until now seemed to have reduced to nothing.

'I'll be able to escape from this palace one day, right? Now that I think about it, Claude has my two beauties, doesn't he?' she cried to herself.

"Hannah." Athy called out to the maid. "Give me choco."

Hannah's expression turned panicked.

"Choco."

"I-I can't. Ms. Lilian said..."

"I want choco."

Hannah hesitated to hand over the chocolate. She seemed to have been scolded harshly by Lily. She huffed. 'Fine. I've got no choice.' With that, she decided to use her ultimate weapon.

"Sister, Athy wanna eat choco."

Hannah's expression began to soften. "D-Don't do this to me."

Athy appeared to have sparkles around her, looking incredibly cute, which made Hannah's resolve weaken.

"I really can't, princess! Sorry!" Hannah said, then ran away as if overwhelmed, leaving Athy empty-handed.

'What? Where are you going! My chocolate!' Athy whined. "Hannah!" She couldn't believe she had failed to win over Hannah.

Athy contemplated. 'Looks like I've been under so much stress that my aegyo isn't as effective as it used to be. But don't think that will stop me!'

She carefully hid in the kitchen without being caught by the other maids. Having lived in the palace for five years, she knew the times when the kitchen would be empty. She also knew where they hid the chocolates and candies!

Athy slowly crept further into the kitchen. Although she admitted this was a very childish thing to do, nothing would stop her from getting her chocolates.

In the past, she had eaten only a meal a day, and that meal was often past its due date cheap sushi! That was why she was so determined to get her chocolate.

Athy looked around and, as expected, found no one there. Feeling joy, she ran to the shelf where the chocolate was hidden.

"Seth, where are you going?"

"Wait, I think I left the lid open. I'll be right back."

Athy gasped and quickly hid herself when she heard the door suddenly open.

The maid who entered the kitchen was named Seth.

"As it turns out, the lid was off."

Athy thought it might be better to ask for the chocolate rather than steal it. 'That's right! This timing must be fate!'

"Um..."

"Ah! Bug!"

Just as Athy was about to call out for her, Seth shouted, her eyes wide open.

Crash! Squish!

The object crushed under Seth's high heel was a squished cockroach.

"How dare a filthy bug enter the kitchen."

Athy was sweat dropping from the cold voice with on one noticing her.

"I probably should suggest Ms. Lilian to make palace cleaning day to be sooner. I can't forgive how there is a cockroach in the palace the princess is living in."
