"Mate? Why do you not want to be here? It's much better than where you were." Sebastian asks me suddenly.

"I'd explain it to you, but I left my 'How to Talk to Stupid People' manual at home," I replied, annoyed still at his audacity.

"Excuse me?!" he asks, his voice slightly booming. I knew I had struck a nerve.

"Excuse me? I didn't realize you were the authority on manners; do you also give out etiquette certificates?" I snap even more annoyed as I hold my hands into my fists, my anger quickly getting the best of me.

"Stop that! You are making me mad, mate; it is taking everything in me not to put you over my knee again." Sebastian says

"Being an Alpha doesn't mean you always have to be right; sometimes, it just means you're good at barking orders. Without the alpha commands and the vampire charm, there isn't much competition. So I'd appreciate it if you just left me alone. MATE." I say the last part of the venom on my tongue.

He smirks his eyes mischievously almost instantly.
"No competition, huh? I know I could easily dominate you in less than 5 seconds. Is that what you want? He chuckles his eyes, looking over my body. Do you want to be dominated? Is that why you have such a loud mouth? Practically beg for someone to fix your bad attitude," he says.

"You may think you're the dominant one here, but remember that even a lion has to sleep—don't get too comfortable. Your attempts at dominance are cute, but I prefer to lead with intelligence rather than intimidation," I say, intently staring at him.

"I love your fiery attitude, but princess, one thing will be proven to you sooner rather than later. I am your alpha mate, you're dominant. The sooner you accept that, the better." Sebastian says, crossing his arms over his chest, that his chest looks even bulkier.

"I admire your confidence, Alpha, but remember, a roar doesn't always make for a wise leader. Too bad all that confidence doesn't come with a reality check." I snapped, turning my attention away from his intimidating eyes.

"I think it's you who needs a reality check, little mate. I'm not even going to charm you or alpha-tone you either." He says plainly, getting up off the couch, his body trapping, making a move to trap my own.

He smirks, "Where are you running off to, mate? You have all this confidence." He said, quickly jumping over the back of the couch and making stalking steps toward me as if I were prey.

"Fuck off," I say as confidently as possible.

I continue to step back, trying to maintain distance between us.

"Oh, little mate, I don't plan on it. I'm going to teach you a lesson on who's in control here." He says he is continuing to stalk me into a wall.
I quickly glance over, grab a book, and toss it at him.

With unbelievably fast reflexes yet again, he catches it, almost completely forgetting when he caught the arrow I attempted to kill him with twice.

"You're going to have to try harder than that if you are trying to hurt me, let alone kill me, mate." He teased me. Tsk tsk tsk with his tongue amusement on his face.

He was dark to my left, running as fast as I could down some random hallway, opening and closing the door.

Breathing heavily, I lock the door, leaning against the door.

"Mate, why don't you make things easier on yourself and open the door? You don't think I have a key." Sebastian's voice rings out from the other side of the door.

"I told you to fuck off. Leave me alone. If you are going to force me to be here, at least leave me alone," I shout.

"If you are leaning near the door, move," Sebastian says.

I sigh, moving away from the door, and the room appears as though it were a guest room with a futon.

Just then, the door is opened. Sebastian says, "I guess now I will show you who's in charge. Little mate." Sebastian said he grabbed me off the floor before I had even realized what was happening.

He dragged me by my arm as he sat down on the futon.

"No, this is not happening again!" I shout, attempting to pull my arm from his iron-like grip.

He chuckled, "I thought I wasn't competitive. Little mate." teasing me as I struggled with all my might, kicking and hitting him with my other arm, he pinned my arms behind my back.

As he sat down, he opened his legs, pushing my body between his legs.

He pins his thighs on both sides of my legs, and my belly lies on his left thigh.

He leans close to my ear and says, "You're not much competition, little mate. How long do you think that took once I was in this room? You like to act so tough, but you are not. Tell me that you are sorry." His voice is sending shivers down my spine.

He touched, sending sparks upon contact.

"No," I say stubbornly as I continue to try and wiggly out of his hold even longer. My attempts slowly and slowly as my energy depleted.

"Well, don't say I didn't give you a chance," he says, his voice getting further away from me and his body heat leaving my back.

His hand harshly hits my already sore bottom. "Say you're sorry before I take off my belt," he warns me.

He hits my bottom harshly on the other sensitive cheek.

I hold on to my pride.
"Well, just see how long you hold on to that pride of yours. Little mate." He says he hears his belt slip through the loops, and the seriousness of the situation finally sets in.

I felt my heart rate increase.

"Last chance, little mate, I can hear your heartbeat increasing." He tells me
