Jonah let out a deep sigh as he and Kyran walked out of the medical building. Jonah just received his diagnosis and he did not know how to feel about it. He was referred to a psychiatrist to get the severity of his diagnosis. He wished he had his father with him right now.
They got into the car and Kyran quickly turned on the engine so they could get some heat. "You wanna tell me what's up?" He asked as they waited for the car to heat up.
"I'm bipolar." Jonah sighed. "And I have to see a psychiatrist next week. I don't want to take meds, man."
"Don't think the worst, Jonah. It might not be to the point where you have to take medication." Kyran said.
Jonah allowed tears to fall as he sniffled. "Why couldn't my dad just be here for me? Why doesn't he love me?"
Kyran placed his hand on Jonah's shoulder as tears threatened to leave his eyes. "I can't speak on pops, but you always got me. You know I'll always be here for you—even when I wanna kick yo ass."
"Shut up, man." Jonah chuckled as he wiped his tears away. "Can you just drop me off to Cali?"
Kyran nodded as he put the car in reverse. Cali and Jonah were now on speaking terms, and he was very grateful. He missed her a lot and wanted to make sure he didn't do anything else to risk their relationship.
They arrived at Asia and Cali's apartment. Asia opened the door and welcomed them in. Jonah went into Cali's room and found her asleep with a textbook and study guide next to her. He removed the book and study guide from the bed and got undressed to his underwear before climbing in next to her.
Cali opened her eyes and found Jonah laying next to her. She wrapped her arms around his torso and cuddled into his chest.
"How did it go?" She mumbled.
"I'm bipolar." Jonah said. "I have to see a psychiatrist next week."
"I'm sorry." Cali said.
"No, I'm sorry. I don't want to hurt you again and I'm serious about bettering myself." Jonah told her.
Cali looked up at Jonah and softly kissed his lips. "I love you."
"I love you too." Jonah said, kissing her again.
"Did you talk to your dad or anyone else in your family?" Cali asked him.
"Nah, I'm just—I don't know. I'm disappointed with my dad right now because he should've been here." Jonah told her.
"I agree. I'm pretty sure my daddy could've pulled some strings for him to make sure things went his way." Cali said as she wiped away the tear that fell from Jonah's left eye. "I don't want you to feel like you have to fight this battle on your own. Now that you have been diagnosed, we can find out ways to handle you properly while you learn how to handle yourself."
Before Jonah could say anything, his phone began to ring on the end table. He picked it up and saw that it was Killian who he's been ignoring for six days.
Jonah silenced the call and placed it back on the table. Cali peeped it, but didn't say anything because she would've done the same. She rubbed his back as she placed her head on his chest again. "You wanna take a nap with me?" She asked him.
Jonah could instantly feel himself getting sleepy from Cali's rubs. Her entire presence was soothing. "Yeah, let's take one." He replied.

"What's wrong?" Raya asked Killian as they ate dinner at her place. "You've been having this puppy dog face since you got here."
"Jonah isn't talking to me. I haven't spoken to him in a week." Killian said.
