Jungkook POV:
"Are you hurt somewhere?" Her sudden question startled me.
"No?" I said still not understanding what was going on.
I saw her near the locker all worked up and with a pepper spray, then she saw me, gave the biggest sigh of relief, and pulled me here.
It is really peaceful here though. I love the view.
"Where were you?" She asked, more like mumbled again.
"Huh?"
God give me a clue, what is happening today?
Park Chaeyoung is talking to me, initiating the conversation and she held my hand. Too much character development in one day. She never speaks, smiles sometimes, eats her food happily, and reads her books. Says a small thank you with a straight face when I help her in class.
Is she ok?
She gave a sigh that clearly meant 'Don't test my patience'
She turned towards me her arm on the wall, leaning sideways on it, and said, "You weren't in the cafeteria, where were you?"
Ohhhh, that is what she meant.
"My professor called me to help him with something, then we both ate some sandwiches in the staff room for lunch because it was late already", I told her in one go.
"You ate? And are late because of your professor?", her tone suddenly changed low and dark.
I was getting scared now.
"Yeah, he told me to have something with him for all the help I did"
"And here I was worried for nothing", she
grumbled. But it was enough for me to hear.
"You were worried for me? Why?" I asked her suddenly catching her off guard.
She looked down embarrassed and murmured something.
"What?" I asked again.
"BECAUSE YOU WEREN'T AT THE CAFETERIA FOR LUNCH AND I HEARD SOMETHING ABOUT CHANYEOL HITTING A NERD. I THOUGHT IT WAS YOU AND LEFT WITHOUT HAVING LUNCH", she suddenly shouted and turned to leave.
What now? I stood there frozen for a second at the sudden outburst.
She screamed at me and is leaving? I ran to her and held her hand to stop her.
"Chaeyoung, wait."
She stood there with her back facing me.
"You were so worried about me that you missed lunch? Why?"

She faced me and said, "Because I consider you my friend, is that a problem? Now let me go Jungkook"
There, her grumpy personality is back again.
"Thank you Chaeyoung, it means a lot to me. I don't have many friends you know."
"And I have no friends, so if you want to continue being my friend you have two rules to follow", she said before I continued any further.
"Rules?" This is new. I have never heard of rules in a friendship. But this is Chaeyoung we are talking about.
"Yes, the most important rule is don't pry about my personal life EVER. Don't ask me about it, don't try to sneak around finding out about it. My personal life is never up for conversation."
She looked so serious I gulped. I made a mental note to never ask her about her personal life.
"And Rule number two. On some days when I say I don't want to talk, you will give me my space and not ask any questions about it. You can still sit with me as you do, but I will be particularly silent for a few days and I don't like any questions at all. Is that clear?"
"Y-yes", I stuttered, she is really scary.
She smiled and said, "Now let go of my hand, I still have a little time, I will go eat something before classes start."
"No, let me treat you to something. There is a stall nearby that sells amazing tteokbokki. Let's go there. You missed your lunch for me and we have to celebrate the beginning of our friendship", I rambled at once scared she will say no.
She gave a soft smile
"Lead the way, Jeon"
