When Y/N woke up, her head pounding with pain, she found herself lying weakly against the cold, stone walls of Riddle Manor. Her vision blurred momentarily before coming into focus, revealing Mattheo standing before her with a troubled expression.
Confusion and anger surged within Y/N as she struggled to comprehend her surroundings. "Mattheo, what is this?" she demanded, her voice trembling with fear.
"I- I'm sorry Y/n. I didn't want to bring you here but I had to." Mattheo said hesitantly.
"That's enough of your nonsense. I tried so hard to be your friend. I was there for you when no one else was. I believed you over my own twin brother. I called him a liar. He had his doubts about you and in fact, he warned me many times to stay away from you but I believed you would change. I believed you had. I trusted you, thought you were a man of change, but honestly, I don't know what to think anymore..."
"I'm sorry- Bu" Mattheo tried to speak but was interrupted by Y/n.
"Why am I here?" Y/n asked.
" He.. He has plans for you Y/n" Mattheo said while lowering his head. A tear dropped onto Y/n's cheek.
"What does he want from me?" Y/n screamed. Mattheo didn't have time to respond. Right then He came in. He Who Must Not Be Named. Voldemort.
As the tension in the room thickened, his dark presence swept through the chamber, Voldemort himself. His gaze swept over Y/N and Mattheo, his expression unreadable yet filled with a dark sense of evil.
Y/N's heart raced with fear as she met Voldemort's gaze, her mind reeling with the realisation of the danger that surrounded her. She had heard tales of the Dark Lord's cruelty and power, but seeing him in person sent a chill down her spine, unlike anything she had ever felt before.
Mattheo stood up. A sense of fear was visible in his face, his eyes. Voldemort's voice cut through the silence like a blade, cold and sharp. "Mattheo." He said, his voice making Mattheo shiver in fear.
"Yes, Father?" Mattheo replied wanting to seem confident to his father.
"Bring in the boy" He commanded.
Y/n lay in shock as Mattheo brought Draco, her brother, into the dimly lit chamber of Riddle Manor. The sight of Draco filled her with a mix of emotions—relief at seeing a familiar face, but then she realised the dangerous situation they found themselves in.
Draco's expression mirrored her sense of disbelief and unease as he took in their surroundings, his eyes widening with confusion. "Y/N, what's going on?" he asked, his voice tense with concern.
Y/N struggled to find her words, her mind still reeling from the events. "I... I don't know," she replied shakily, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Silence" Voldemort shouted.
Draco was caught off guard by the Dark lord's presence. The voice startled Draco. He looked around the place and then a lightning or realisation struck Draco's face as he recognised the place.
"Now, Draco". Voldemort addressed Y/N's brother, his tone sending a shiver down her spine. "Use the Cruciatus Curse on your sister, or I'll have Narcissa killed."
Y/N's heart clenched with dread as she looked into Draco's eyes, knowing the impossible choice he faced. She felt a surge of determination rise within her, fuelled by a desperate desire to protect their family at any cost.
"Draco, do it," she whispered, her voice barely above a breath, her gaze filled with sorrow and resolve. "It's the only way to save Mother. Please..."
Draco's eyes widened in horror at her words, his hands trembling with fear. Tears formed in Draco's eyes as he shook his head, his voice trembling with emotion. "I can't Y/n. He whispered, his voice barely audible over the pounding of his heart.
He knew the pain his sister would endure if he followed Voldemort's command, but he couldn't bear the thought of losing their mother.
But before Draco could summon the strength to comply, Narcissa spoke up. "Don't do it, Draco," she pleaded, her eyes locked with his. "I can't bear to see you or Y/n suffer. I have lived my life and raised two amazing kids who will do wonders in life. It's okay."
Draco's heart twisted with conflicting emotions, torn between his loyalty to their family and the love he felt for his sister.
"I. I'm sorry Y/n. I have to do this." Y/n nodded with tears in her eyes. Draco hesitated, his wand hand shaking as he wrestled with the weight of his decision.
But Voldemort's patience wore thin, his expression darkening with impatience and fury. "Do it, Draco," he commanded, his tone icy with menace. "Or your mother will suffer the consequences."
With a heavy heart, Draco raised his wand, his hands shaking with the weight of his decision. But before he could utter the incantation, a flash of green light filled the room, and Narcissa fell to the ground, her lifeless body crumpling at Voldemort's feet.
Draco fell to his knees.
"No." He screamed. His voice echoed in the empty hallways of the riddle manor. Y/N's heart shattered at the sight, tears streaming down her cheeks as she watched in horror.
She knew that their lives would never be the same again, that the darkness had claimed yet another victim. But amidst the pain and grief, she vowed to honour her mother's memory and fight for a future where love triumphed over hate, no matter the cost.
