As the conversation flowed between Y/N, Pansy, and Melony, Y/N couldn't shake the tension she felt around Mattheo Riddle. Curiosity gnawed at her, and finally, she decided to address it.

"Hey, Pansy, Mellony," Y/N began tentatively, "I couldn't help but notice there seems to be some history with Mattheo Riddle. What's the deal with him?"

Pansy exchanged a knowing glance with Melony before answering. "Mattheo is... complicated," she started carefully, choosing her words. "He's got a reputation for being ambitious, even by Slytherin standards. Some say he's obsessed with proving himself, living up to his family name and all that."

Mellony nodded in agreement, adding, "Yes, he's definitely driven, but sometimes it feels like he's willing to step on anyone to get what he wants. He's not afraid to play dirty."

Y/N furrowed her brow, absorbing this information. "So, he's not exactly the friendliest of sorts, then?" she ventured.

Pansy chuckled softly. "Let's just say, he's more focused on his agenda than making friends. But don't worry, Y/N, you've got us now. We'll stick together and watch each other's backs."

A sense of gratitude washed over Y/N as she realised she had allies in Pansy and Mellony. "Thanks, guys," she said sincerely. "I'm glad to have you both as friends. And as for Riddle, well, let's just say I'll be keeping my eye on him."

With a renewed sense of determination, Y/N settled back into the conversation, grateful for the support of her newfound friends as they journeyed towards Hogwarts.

As the conversation between Y/N, Pansy, and Mellony continued, the atmosphere lightened, and laughter filled the compartment. Enzo Berkshire and Theodore Nott, drawn in by the fun mood, joined the group, adding their brand of humour to the mix.

Enzo, with his contagious grin and need for mischief, cracked a joke that had everyone doubled over with laughter, while Theodore, with his dry wit and sharp intellect, chimed in with witty retorts that kept the banter lively.

As the laughter and camaraderie filled the compartment, Enzo Berkshire and Theodore Nott couldn't resist joining in the fun. Enzo, with his infectious grin and penchant for mischief, cracked a joke that had everyone doubled over with laughter. "You should've seen the look on Filch's face when I accidentally set off that dungbomb last year!" he exclaimed, earning a round of chuckles from the group.

Theodore, with his dry wit and sharp intellect, chimed in with witty retorts that kept the banter lively. "I swear, Enzo, one of these days, your pranks are going to land us all in detention," he teased, earning a playful shove from his friend.

Amidst the laughter and jokes, Y/N felt a sense of warmth and belonging washed over her. She glanced around at her new friends, grateful for the acceptance and camaraderie they offered.

However, her curiosity was piqued when Enzo and Theodore spotted Mattheo Riddle sitting alone in another compartment. Without hesitation, they excused themselves from the group and made their way over to him, their expressions serious as they engaged in conversation.

Y/N watched with a furrowed brow, her curiosity growing once again. "What do you think they're talking about?" she asked Pansy and Melony, gesturing towards the trio.

Pansy shrugged, a small smile playing on her lips. "Knowing Enzo and Theodore, it could be anything from Quidditch strategies to the latest gossip," she replied with a chuckle.

Melony nodded in agreement. "They're always full of surprises. But I'm sure it's nothing serious."

Y/N nodded thoughtfully, accepting their reassurances. She turned her attention back to the group, feeling grateful for the friendships she had already formed on her journey to Hogwarts. As the Hogwarts Express continued its journey towards the castle, Y/N couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation building within her, eager to embark on this new chapter of her life surrounded by friends who had already become like family.

As the Hogwarts Express pulled into Hogsmeade Station, the excitement among the students reached a fever pitch. Y/N felt a surge of nervous energy as she stepped off the train, her heart pounding with anticipation for the Sorting Ceremony.

"Can you believe we're finally here?" Y/N said to Draco, her voice tinged with excitement.

Draco grinned at his sister, his grey eyes sparkling with anticipation. "I told you Hogwarts would be something else," he replied, a hint of pride in his voice.

Gathering with the other first-year students, Y/N followed the crowd into the Great Hall, marvelling at the grandeur of her new surroundings. The enchanted ceiling reflected the starry night sky above, and the long tables were filled with students from all four houses, chatting eagerly as they awaited the start of the ceremony.

Y/N took her place among the other first-years, her heart fluttering with a mix of excitement and apprehension. She stole a glance at Draco, who offered her an encouraging nod from across the room.

As the Sorting Hat was placed upon her head, Y/N's mind raced with thoughts of where she belonged. She had grown up hearing stories of Slytherin House's cunning and ambition, and she couldn't help but wonder if she possessed the traits needed to join their ranks.

After what felt like an eternity, the Sorting Hat spoke, its voice echoing through the Great Hall. "Hmm, a Malfoy, I see. You possess ambition and determination, qualities prized by Slytherin House. But there is also loyalty and courage within you, traits that would serve you well in other houses. Where shall I place you?"

Y/N held her breath as the Sorting Hat deliberated, her heart pounding in her chest. Then, finally, the hat made its decision.

"Slytherin!"

A cheer erupted from the Slytherin table as Y/N made her way over, a sense of pride swelling within her. She glanced at Draco, who offered her a proud smile, and she knew that she had found her place among the ambitious and cunning of Slytherin House.

As she took her seat at the table, surrounded by her new housemates, Y/N felt a sense of belonging wash over her.

"Well done, Y/N!" Draco whispered, giving her a congratulatory pat on the back.

"Thanks, Draco," Y/N replied, returning his smile. "I think I'm going to like it here."
