Y/N's voice trembled with gratitude as she turned to her friends. "Thank you so much for coming," she said, her words filled with heartfelt appreciation.
But before they could move to escape, a sudden chill filled the room, freezing them in place. The air grew thick with tension as the unmistakable presence of darkness filled the chamber.
A moment later, the door burst open, and Voldemort swept into the room, his cold, merciless gaze fixated on his prisoners. Behind him, his Death Eaters followed, their dark cloaks billowing ominously as they advanced.
Mellony's heart sank as she realised the gravity of the situation. "We have to get out of here," she whispered urgently to her friends, her voice laced with fear.
Pansy nodded, her hands trembling with apprehension. "We can't let them take us," she insisted, her eyes wide with terror.
Right after these words came out of Pansy's mouth a tall figure walked into the room. Theo stepped back, sceptical about who it could be, although he did have a pretty good guess. Mattheo stepped into the room, following his father.
As Voldemort and his Death Eaters closed in, a glimmer of hope flickered in the eyes of Y/N's friends as they caught sight of Mattheo among the group. Relief washed over Mellony, Pansy, Theo, and Blaise as they welcomed him with open arms, their smiles tinged with gratitude and relief.
"Mattheo, you're here!" Mellony exclaimed, rushing forward to embrace him, her voice filled with genuine joy. "We thought we'd lost you!"
Pansy nodded enthusiastically, her eyes shining with tears of relief. "We're so glad you're safe," she said, her voice choked with emotion.
But Y/N and Draco remained silent, their expressions dark and unreadable as they watched the reunion unfold. Suspicion gnawed at the edges of their minds, a nagging feeling that something wasn't right.
It wasn't until Mellony's words of gratitude turned to confusion that the truth came to light. "Mattheo, why... why are you with them?" she stammered, her eyes narrowing with suspicion.
Theo's gaze hardened as he locked eyes with Mattheo, his voice cold and accusing. "You betrayed us," he accused, his words dripping with venom. "You led us into a trap."
Mattheo's expression faltered, his guilt written plainly across his face as he struggled to find the words to explain himself. " I-."
"-We trusted you," Draco spat, his voice laced with bitterness. "And you sold us out." Draco's fists clenched at his sides, his jaw set with determination
Anger and betrayal surged within Y/n as she turned away, unable to bear the sight of him any longer.
All the emotions on his face faded and he stood there in shock. His eyes gazed at everyone one at a time. They first fell on Theodore, whose face was filled with rage, Then Pansy who was still unable to digest this huge betrayal by someone so close. Then his eyes fell on Mellony, she clenched her fists displaying her anger although some part of her was unable to believe Mattheo's actions and then came Blaise, who had no idea what was happening.
Pansy stepped forward, her voice trembling with fear but also laced with defiance. "We won't let you take us without a fight," she declared, her eyes flashing with determination. "We'll stand together against you, no matter what."
Draco nodded in agreement, his jaw set with determination. "We won't go down without a fight," he affirmed, his voice filled with quiet resolve.
As Voldemort and his Death Eaters closed in, ready to strike, Y/N and her friends stood firm, their bonds of friendship and courage unyielding in the face of darkness.
