Mon: Seriously, are you still upset about Fah?

The younger women said as they walked into the house after Zozo's swimming lesson.

It seemed that Sam was still holding onto her anger about the recent events. Mon was fully aware that it wasn't her fault. During the session, the older woman maintained her poker face and continued to ignore Mon. The only time she spoke to Mon was when the conversation pertained to Zoe.

Sam: Fah, Fah, Fah. That's all I've been hearing since we got to the school. Do you have to mention her name, like always?

Mon was trying to contain her laughter. It was clear as day that Sam was jealous but wouldn't admit it.

Sam placed little Zoe on the floor, and the little girl started walking around, still in her swimming suit.

Mon: I barely mentioned her name, but it seems you are bothered by it. Sam, I was really just trying to be polite with the lady, and I didn't know she would provoke you even more by inviting me to a coffee date.

Sam: First of all, she did not "provoke" me. It's just... I was handling it well until you jumped in. And I think she was being totally disrespectful.

Sam crossed her arms, still sulking. Mon thought she looked too cute with her little pout.

Mon: Disrespectful? How?

Sam: B-b-ecause Zoe... was right there.

Mon: Yes, I know she was there, but I am still trying to understand how that was disrespectful to Zoe.

Mon understood Sam's feelings about the whole situation quite well. However, she wanted to play stupid and maybe make the older woman confess herself.

Sam: Zoe is just a kid. Her asking you on a date right before her was just a stupid idea. The poor little girl will be confused. She's young but understands a lot of what goes around her.

Mon was trying to hold her laughter more than ever with Sam's weak excuses.

Mon: I am sure Zoe didn't mind at all. Plus, it was just a coffee date. It's not like she invited me to her bed.

Little did Mon know that that last part made Sam angrier. Just the thought of Mon being in that woman's arms made Sam sick to her stomach.

Sam: and what's your answer, Mon?

Mon: I am not sure what you're asking here. It's not like I am taken or anything.

Despite knowing she was taking a risk, she was eager to see Sam's reaction. Mon saw this as a chance to uncover Sam's true intentions. Was it merely a physical attraction, or did Sam envision something deeper? Considering Sam's history of not being serious about anyone, Mon was uncertain whether she could be the exception. Nevertheless, Mon braced herself for the potentially painful truth. What if Sam agreed to end their relationship? Mon wasn't certain if she was prepared for that outcome just yet.

Sam stared deep into Mon's soul. She was very upset with Mon's answer; that's not what she wanted to hear.

Sam: So, spending a family weekend together and being intimate every night for the past week doesn't mean you're in a relationship?

Mon felt like screaming and jumping for joy. Did Sam just confess that their relationship was more than just sex? Was she admitting that she wanted something more meaningful?

Mon was still filled with excitement, but she yearned for more. She was eager to inquire further despite Sam's continued angry expression.

Sam: Please tell me, Mon. How does this look to you? I need to know we are on the same page before I give my all. And I know you know more than anyone that this is not something I usually do. I am not the relationship type of woman, but here I am, trying to make this work, and I really want it to work. If your intention is to playhouses, let me know now.
