Mon: No Way!!! I need weekends off as well.Sam rolled her eyes...
Sam: Please, what do you even do on weekends besides sitting at home? You're not even dating anyone. So you will be fine.
Mon: It's not your concern what I do with my time. We'll alternate weekends—end of story.
Sam: you're annoying me. I wouldn't say I like this plan at all...
Mon: I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Our friends have passed away, leaving their precious daughter in our care. It's now our responsibility to take care of her. As for you, I suggest that you inform all of your girlfriends, sex partners, or whatever you label them as that you are now a mother and have new responsibilities.
Sam: I call them my friends so that you know.
Mon rolled her eyes while writing in her notebook...
Sam: Anyways, why don't we just place her in a school or something?
Mon: The school Tee and Yuki wanted has no available spots, so we must make do. And please don't suggest other schools, it's not an option!
Mon looked at Sam, who was ready to respond to her request...
Mon: Unless you have early meetings, you will have her in the morning. Your schedule is very flexible.
Sam: who told you I was very flexible?
Mon: you sleep past noon every day, Sam!
Sam: Well... that's only because I have a manager who oversees everything.
Mon: Even better. So, you can take care of her in the mornings, and I will take care of her in the afternoon. I am currently in the process of hiring another employee to assist Mind in the afternoon while I take care of Zoe. Additionally, we can rotate when that happens.
Sam: I was thinking...Why don't you spend the whole day with her and I'll cover all your expenses?
Mon looked at Sam with the most disbelief facial expression she could put on, and Sam noticed as she tried to change her statement quickly.
Sam: It was just a thought since I make more than you do.... that way, it wouldn't be all confusing for Zoe is constantly moving from one side to another.
Mon: Sam, you never cease to amaze me! I have worked incredibly hard to build my business and plan to keep it that way.
Sam: I mean, you wouldn't give up your business completely. You would pass it to someone who would manage it for you while you're home. A lot of women do it, you know.
Mon: YOU are also a woman; why don't you do that instead?
Mon's voice sounded irritated - correction, Mon looked irritated!
Sam: My business is larger than yours; it wouldn't work like that.
Mon: Sam, I will ignore you, or otherwise I will explode. I would hate to wake Zoe up from her nap after spending hours trying to put her down. Anyway, let's discuss the night routine.
Sam: let's discuss where we are going to sleep. I pick the master bedroom!
Mon: you can't just skip over the other topic. Plus, I've been sleeping there for the past week; why change it now?
Sam: Nope, and I never agreed with your decision... or we could share it. You know I have no problem with that.
Sam smirked, and Mon rolled her eyes.
Mon: over my dead body - I will never sleep with you, Sam!
Sam: Again. We did sleep together once, so I should remind you. To be more specific, the day of Zoe's birth...
