A/N: Look who's back hahah! Let's just enjoy the reading😁Sam: Zoe, just let Aunty fix your hair, honey...
Mon stepped through the house, immediately greeted by the lively chaos that echoed within. Naked Zoe, full of energy, darted around the living room, her laughter ringing out as she skillfully dodged Sam, who was a few steps behind, determined to catch the little girl, her hands outstretched in playful pursuit.
Mon stifled a giggle as she observed Sam's amusing struggle. The brightly colored Legos and tea party sets scattered across the floor created a treacherous landscape, and Sam nearly lost her balance as she stepped on a particularly sharp piece. The contrast of the vibrant toys against the cream carpet only added to the scene's humor. Mon couldn't help but smile, enjoying the sight of their playful antics that filled the space with joy. Her heart swelled with joy as she envisioned her new life unfolding before her.
She gently set her work bag on the floor, the soft thud echoing in the otherwise quiet room. As she stood there, still and contemplative, her gaze was fixed on her girlfriend. The term felt new yet comfortable, an unspoken title that had emerged from their recent conversations and the warmth that had grown between them. They had never formally labeled their relationship, but after their last heart-to-heart, it seemed to fit perfectly. She smiled softly as she observed her two girls running around.
A warm smile spread across Mon's face as she spotted Zoe racing toward her, her little legs pumping furiously with excitement. Without hesitation, Mon crouched down, arms outstretched, and scooped Zoe into her embrace, lifting her off the ground as the girl squealed with joy.
Just a few steps behind, Sam rounded the corner, her eyebrows lifting in surprise when she realized Mon had arrived. Sam paused for a moment, taking in the heartwarming scene before rushing forward to join them.
Mon gently kisses Zoe's head and smiles as the little girl plays with her necklace.
Mon: Are you giving Auntie Sam a hard time?
Sam: Oh, thank goodness you arrived, babe. She's been plotting against me all afternoon. Can you believe she escaped from the chair while I tried fixing her hair?
All that Mon heard was the word "babe," and it sent a flutter of excitement through her, a sensation akin to butterflies dancing in her stomach. It was just a simple word, one that many might overlook, but to her, it held immense significance—
Mon: Hi to you too, Sam.
Sam smiles and then kisses Mon on the lips, which doesn't last long because Zoe's little hand comes right in between when she notices they are kissing.
Sam: Seriously, what does she have against our kisses?
Mon couldn't help but let out a light chuckle as she caught sight of Sam's annoyed expression. Zoe's persistent interruptions had become almost comical, a recurring theme whenever Mon and Sam tried exchange any kiss; the little girl would always swoop in with her exuberant energy, instantly redirecting their focus. Mon glanced at Sam, whose eyebrows were furrowed in frustration, clearly exasperated by the uninvited disruptions.
Mon: She seems like she might just want a little attention. Let's give her some love while you try to finish up her hair!
Sam rolled her eyes back.
Sam: I am so glad it's Friday.
Mon sank comfortably onto the plush sofa, with Zoe nestled on her lap, giggling softly. Meanwhile, Sam knelt beside them, determined to untangle the messy strands of her hair.
