"Why, Lili? Why?" Jennie’s voice trembled, each word laced with heartbreak as tears cascaded down her cheeks. Her once radiant eyes now glistened with pain, reflecting the shattered pieces of her soul.

"I'm so sorry, Jennie, but..." Lisa’s voice was as cold as the winter air, devoid of the warmth Jennie had once known. Before she could finish, Jennie raised a trembling hand, her fingers quivering as if they could somehow stop the devastation that was about to unfold.

"Just sorry?" Jennie’s voice was barely a whisper, her tears flowing freely now. "Lili, what did I do wrong? What did I lack that made you turn away from me? What did I do to make your love disappear?"

Lisa’s silence was deafening, her face unreadable as Jennie’s desperation grew. "If you had fallen out of love, you should have told me... But to betray me like this..." Jennie’s voice cracked, her breath hitching as she wiped away her tears with trembling hands. "Why did you have to destroy everything we built?"

"Lili, wasn’t my love enough? Wasn’t I enough for you?" Jennie’s voice faltered, her heart too heavy to bear the weight of her own words.

Suddenly, Lisa’s eyes turned icy, her voice cutting through Jennie’s heart like a blade. "No, you weren’t enough. Marrying you was a mistake. I don’t love you anymore, Jennie. I don’t want you anymore."

Jennie’s world collapsed in an instant, Lisa’s brutal words slicing through her like a knife, leaving her hollow and gasping for air.

With a voice as fragile as glass, Jennie asked, "Is he better than me in bed?" The question was a whispered plea, the last grasp of a woman drowning in the pain of countless nights spent crying alone after finding the love bites on Lisa’s neck.

Lisa let out a dark, humorless chuckle, her words dripping with venom. "Yes, he’s better than you in every way."

Jennie’s breath caught in her throat, the impact of Lisa’s cruelty hitting her like a tidal wave. The woman she had loved with every fiber of her being now stood before her, a stranger with eyes as cold and unforgiving as the betrayal that had torn them apart.

"How could you do this to me, Lili?" Jennie’s voice quivered, each word a desperate attempt to make sense of the nightmare unfolding before her. "We were supposed to be each other’s forever… You were my everything."

But Lisa’s expression remained unyielding, her gaze hard as stone. "Forever means nothing when the love is gone, Jennie."

The finality of Lisa’s words was a death sentence, crashing over Jennie with the force of a storm. The woman she had built her life around was gone, replaced by someone who now looked at her with nothing but indifference.

"I... I thought I made you happy," Jennie choked out, clinging desperately to the memories of their love, memories that now felt like a cruel joke.

For a brief moment, something flickered in Lisa’s eyes—regret, remorse, perhaps a distant echo of the love they once shared—but it disappeared as quickly as it had come, leaving nothing but coldness behind.

"You did, once," Lisa replied, her voice as emotionless as ever. "But people change, Jennie. I’ve changed. I found something… someone else who makes me happier."

Jennie felt her legs give out beneath her, the truth crashing down on her like a tidal wave. Everything she had cherished, everything she had held dear was slipping through her fingers. "How could you replace me so easily, Lili? How could you throw away everything we had?"

Lisa’s eyes narrowed, her tone unforgiving. "It wasn’t easy, Jennie. But it’s what I want. It’s what I need."

Jennie felt her heart shatter into a million pieces, the last remnants of hope crumbling to dust. There were no words left to say, nothing that could mend the gaping wound in her chest. All she could do was watch as Lisa turned away, walking out of her life and leaving her alone in the suffocating silence of their broken home.

As Lisa reached the door, Jennie summoned the last of her strength to speak one final time, her voice raw with pain and desperation. "You’ll regret this, Lili. One day, you’ll realize what you’ve lost."

But Lisa didn’t pause, didn’t look back. She opened the door and stepped out without a word, leaving Jennie standing alone in the ruins of her shattered world, tears streaming down her face as she wondered how something so beautiful had turned into such a haunting nightmare.

Hi everyone! I hope you're all doing amazing. I’m finally back, and I've missed you guys so much! Who here missed me?

I’m really sorry for going off the radar like that, but it wasn’t my fault. Wattpad messed things up, but no worries—I’m back, and that’s what matters, right?

Some of you might have stumbled across my stories under a different ID, 'jentopwriter,' but I only created that account because I thought this one was gone for good. Thankfully, the Wattpad team listened to my request and gave me my account back. Now, I’ll be completing all the stories I started over there on this account.

I didn’t reveal that it was me behind that account because I was worried you might be even more upset if you knew the whole story. I really hope you’ll support me.

Please, please, please show some love to this story too! I’m going to update all my stories now, but first, tell me—which one should I work on first?
