Just then, my phone buzzed. I checked it and saw a message from "My Love ❤️."—Mingyu.
I opened the chat and saw that there were quite a few messages. I scrolled through the unread ones.
From My Love ❤️: "I’m good, babe." — 9:15 pm.
From My Love ❤️: "Babe, sorry about last night. You know you’re so hot that I can’t control myself. 😉" — 9:16 pm.
From My Love ❤️: "Look, you still haven’t replied. You know I really miss you. Please, call me when you see this." — 9:18 pm.
From My Love ❤️: "Good morning, babe. How are you?" — 7:05 am.
I sighed deeply, feeling a mix of emotions swirl inside me. Without overthinking it, I hit the call button. He picked up after a few rings.
"Hi, babe," he greeted, his voice warm and familiar.
"Hi, love. How are you?" I asked, forcing a lightness into my tone.
"I'm not well. Please, come over. I really miss you," he said, and I could almost picture him pouting—something that usually made my heart soften.
But ... Jennie looks even cuter when she pouts.
"But I’m not feeling well either. I can’t walk," I blurted out before I could think. My breath caught—what did I just say? I couldn’t let him know about last night, about Jennie…
"Huh? Why? What happened? Did your wife do something? If she did, tell me—I swear, I'll kill her," he snapped, his voice laced with jealousy and anger.
"No, no! She didn’t do anything," I rushed to clarify, trying to calm him down. "Actually… you know, it’s because of the lovemaking we did. It left me sore."
It was a half-truth, an excuse wrapped in just enough reality to be believable. The last time we were intimate, I wasn’t nearly as sore, but it was the only explanation that made sense without revealing the truth.
"Oh, so I fucked you so well that you can't walk? That means you're satisfied," he said, and I could practically hear the smugness in his voice.
I rolled my eyes, trying not to scoff. The truth was, Mingyu had never really satisfied me in bed. Sure, I felt something, but not the way I felt with Jennie. She knew exactly how to make me melt, to hit all the right spots with her 10-inch cock, leaving me breathless and begging for more. Mingyu’s… well, let’s just say it didn’t compare.
"Hey, where did you go, babe?" he asked, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Nothing, love," I replied, masking my irritation.
Honestly, the guilt was starting to eat at me. I was cheating on Jennie, the one person who could actually satisfy me, both in bed and emotionally. But what could I do? Jennie couldn’t give me everything that Mingyu could—or at least, that’s what I kept telling myself.
"You're not listening to me again," Mingyu’s voice came through the phone, pulling me back.
"Sorry, love. I was just thinking about something," I said, trying to sound sincere.
"What were you thinking about? Your stupid wife?" he snapped, his jealousy clear as day. I sighed, feeling the weight of his insecurity pressing down on me.
"No, I wasn’t thinking about her," I lied, the words tasting bitter on my tongue. After a few seconds of silence, I softened my tone. "I love you, and please don't overthink. I'll be there in an hour, and we can talk more then."
"Okay, come quickly," he said before abruptly hanging up.
I sighed, placing the phone back on the nightstand. I couldn’t shake the feeling of unease that had settled in my chest. As much as I tried to push it aside, I knew things couldn’t go on like this forever. Something had to give—sooner or later.

As Lisa placed her phone back on the nightstand, she took a deep breath, trying to calm the storm of thoughts in her mind.
Just then, Jennie walked in, her expression calm, but the tension in her eyes gave her away. Forcing a smile, Jennie greeted Lisa with a seemingly cheerful tone, "Good morning, Lili."
Lisa looked up at Jennie, her heart skipping a beat. She swallowed nervously before replying, "Good morning, Nini."
A wave of panic washed over Lisa."Did Jennie hear my conversation? What if she knows?" she thought, her mind racing.
Jennie placed the tray of food on the bed and sat down next to Lisa, her gaze fixed on her. Jennie’s thoughts were swirling, "Lili, who were you saying 'I love you' to? Are you cheating on me, or was it just a friend?"
But Jennie couldn't bring herself to voice her suspicions. The room was thick with unspoken tension. Lisa noticed Jennie staring at her and, feeling the weight of her gaze, asked nervously, "Nini, why are you looking at me like that?"
Jennie shook her head slightly, forcing a small smile. "Why? Can't I look at my wife?" she replied, her tone light but laced with underlying tension.
Lisa managed a faint smile in return, but it didn’t reach her eyes. Jennie leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to Lisa's forehead, her voice tender yet filled with a subtle firmness. "Lili, let's get you up for breakfast. After that, I'll prepare a warm bath for you. You can relax your body for a while."
Lisa pouted slightly, touched by Jennie’s care. She knew Jennie always understood what she needed, sometimes even before she did. It made the guilt gnaw at her even more.
Jennie helped Lisa sit up in bed, her movements gentle but her mind was elsewhere, battling with her emotions. They started eating breakfast together, but Jennie only picked at her food. She was hurt, the thought of Lisa possibly saying "I love you" to someone else weighing heavily on her.
"You're not eating much, Nini," Lisa said softly, trying to mask her concern with a small smile.
Jennie looked up, her eyes meeting Lisa's. "I’m just not that hungry," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper. Then, unable to hold it in any longer, she added, "Lili… are you sure you’re okay? Is there something on your mind?"
Lisa froze, her heart pounding. "Is this it? Is she going to ask me about the call?" she wondered, but before she could respond, Jennie quickly shook her head, brushing it off. "Never mind. Let’s focus on getting you better," Jennie said, forcing another smile, though the pain in her eyes was clear.
Lisa nodded, feeling the tension growing between them. They finished their breakfast in near silence, the air thick with unsaid words and hidden fears.
