The rest of the Euros, Anna and Ferran just tried to find little moments to spend together whenever they could. But it was becoming harder. Until it was time for the semifinals.

Spain managed to beat France and qualify for the final and while the players were celebrating in front of the Spanish fans, Anna went to the tunnel and found Ferran's family there.

"Hi!", she run to hug Ferran's mum and sister and then introduced them to the radio colleagues she was with.

"Here he comes", said Ferran's mum seeing her son approaching them.

"Hug your mother first, Torres", told him Anna when she noticed Ferran walking straight towards her.

He rolled his eyes but did as Anna say. Mothers always got hugged first and Anna knew it. But then, he turned to hug Anna and it felt like the hug was never going to end. None of them wanting to let go.

"Come to my room tonight", whispered Ferran.

"Can we...".

"Yes, we've been told we can".

Anna was so giddy the whole time she stayed at the stadium working. No one really got what had gotten into her but then they saw she wasn't going back to the hotel with them and understood the reason for her big smile.

"Knock knock", she mocked, noticing the door to Ferran's room was slightly open.

"Come in, beautiful".

"Hello, Euros finalist".

Ferran quickly put his arms around Anna, lifting her so she could wrap his legs around his waist. But then he just sat down in bed, keeping Anna on his lap and hugging her tightly.

"I really needed to be with you today".

"Why is that? Are you ok, Fer?"

Anna moved back to look him in the eyes and there was a bit of sadness there. "It's not as if the team is in the final because of me, you know?"

"You gave them 3 points against Albania. And played a part in other matches".

"And then I missed a sitter against Germany and everyone went back to laughing at me", he sighed.

"I thought we were going to ignore those stupid comments", she told him and noticed Ferran looking away. "Hey! Listen to me".

After another sigh, Ferran looked at Anna again. He was so happy to be in the final but it was also a bittersweet feeling.

"I hate feeling not good enough".

"You're good enough", she reassured him. "And...have you read what's been said of me during the Euros?"

"The Hojlund stuff?"

"No. Or not just that", she said, rolling her eyes. "I made a joke about getting a tan from being under the sun covering the matches and some gossip magazines took photos of me with my eyes closed to say I just go there to sunbathe, instead of to work. I'm also only here because of you. And I made a mistake once while mentioning the player from The Netherlands and...well, it turns out I can't be a journalist anymore".

"That's stupid. You should ignore it".

"Really?", she laughed. "Only if you ignore what's said about you. Worry about the people who know you and care for you. We're all so proud".

"Thank you".

They embraced for a little longer and then Anna started to tickle Ferran softly.

"And as much as I love giving you free therapy sessions, I was promised some sexy times. So....".

It felt so good to be able to stay with him that night, to sleep by his side cuddling...and to wake up next to Ferran.

"Do you have to go soon?"

"Yes. My plane leaves before yours", said Anna before yawning. "Berlin, here we come! But I'll get there a few days too early and your family is going back to Valencia. It'll be a bit boring but I can do some sightseeing".

"You'll be fine".

"I can facetime you so you don't miss my pretty face too much", she laughed.

Hours later, Anna was finally in Berlin, ready to take a nap. The end of the tournament was almost there and she couldn't wait to have some time off to rest. But then the hotel room's phone rang.

"Huh? That's odd. Hello?"

"Hello miss Durán. You've got people asking for you. They need you to meet them in the lobby".

"Who is it? Is it about work?"

"No idea, miss. I just know they want to talk to you".

"Ok", she said, still confused. "I'll be there in a minute. Thank you".

No one from worked had contacted Anna so she really didn't know who it could be. It clearly wasn't Ferran because he had to stay with the team so...

"Oh my God!"

Anna ran towards the three people waiting for her and hugged them tightly. Her family was in Berlin.

"Hi sis".

"Hi! What are you all doing here?"

"Your boyfriend organised it", said her dad. "But we couldn't tell you because it was a surprise".

"The best surprise", said Anna, hugging her family again. She had missed them so much. "Are you staying in this hotel?"

"Yes. And we have tickets for the final too".

Perfect. That was the perfect way to end the Euros. So perfect, Anna no longer felt tired.
