When Hugo heard the doorbell ring, he felt a twinge of hope. Anna had her own set of keys but maybe she didn't want to use it after everything that had happened.

He knew he had lost her but was holding onto some delusion that told him Anna would come back to him. Hugo knew why he cheated. He couldn't use the cliché excuses. He wanted to hurt Anna without her knowing. He knew she loved Ferran but was too loyal to leave him. That didn't mean Anna didn't love Hugo, because she had loved him. But it was different types of love and Hugo knew that.

Hugo felt like he had developed a little obsession with Anna the day he saw her at the job interview. His first thought when he saw her was a very basic one. He just thought she was hot. But then he talked to her and she was way more than just hot. Anna was smart and a great listener. She spoke with so much passion about the things that she loved that one couldn't help but feel passionate about them too. She was the literal definition of what Hugo and his friends declared as the perfect woman when they were highschool boys: pretty, funny and loved sports. What else could someone ask for?

In the same way Anna knew she was pretty, Hugo knew he was attractive. He had always been. And getting women to like him was pretty easy. But Anna felt more like a challenge. And when he found himself dating her, he just wanted to tell the whole world about it. It was him who got the perfect woman...not Ferran Torres. He noticed the jealousy in his eyes whenever Anna and Hugo were near him. However, he could also notice the love in Anna's eyes when she looked at Ferran. So Hugo cheated. But the plan was for Anna to never find out. They'd marry and, at some point, she'd forget about Ferran.

"Oh...hi", said Hugo when he saw it was Anna's brother Joel who was standing outside of his door.

"I don't even want to talk to you. I'm here to take my sister's things and then if I never see you again, I'll die a happy man".

"Joel, you need to listen to me...".

"I need to punch that stupid face of yours until not even your mother can recognize you. That's what I need to do. Anna is my sister. My twin sister! She's been a part of my life since before I was born and I would literally kill for her so don't push me".

"I understand", tried to say Hugo.

"No, I don't think you do", spit Joel. "I never liked you. But if Anna told me she was happy, then I'd have put up with you. And this is what you did. Just proving that you never deserved her".

"And you think a child deserves her and will make her happy".

Joel knew Hugo meant Ferran. "Well, dating someone your age didn't really work out so why not try a bit younger? I actually always liked Ferran. So I'm sure he'll make Anna happy but I'm also happy too".

Joel carried the boxes he had brought to what used to be Anna and Hugo's room and Hugo silently gave him all the things that belonged to Anna. He did the same in the other rooms and an hour and a half later, Joel put the final box in his car and drove away.

No, Anna was never coming back. And when Hugo saw the text he had received, it was even clearer to him. Anna had resigned from her job on the radio.

At noon, Joel knocked on Ferran's door but it was his sister who opened the door.

"Hi", she said brightly, hugging him.

"You look too good for someone who found out about her disgusting cheating pig fiancé less than 24 hours ago. Do not tell me what Ferran did to put that smile on your face. Ignorance is bliss".

"But I wanted to tell you about how he made me breakfast", joked Anna. "Thank you for picking up my stuff. You didn't have to but I just can't go back...".
