Being the current it girl meant everything that Anna did was talked about by people. Whether she liked it or not. Her interviews got a lot of comments and she had a few similar experiences to what had happened after the Ferran interview. But never as bad. Apparently, if Anna smiled at someone she interviewed, it meant she wanted to sleep with them. Or so people said.
"I love that people are saying I'm vain and obsessed with how I look. It's a video about my beauty routine...did they expect me to recite Tolstoi?"
"They're probably mad to see you already look freaking stunning with no make up on", said Paula. "Been there".
"Don't say that, Paula. You're so beautiful...".
"Yeah yeah yeah. I actually turned down Calvin Klein because I'm too pretty for them. That's why they called you. You were their second option".
Anna could tell Paula was joking and smiled at her. But did a mental note to remind herself to compliment Paula more so she didn't feel like that. Anna wasn't lying when she called her beautiful. And she didn't like seeing her friends feel insecure.
Her conversations with Ferran had moved from Instagram to WhatsApp. And when Anna was on her coffee break, she saw a new message from him.

They just make your face less puffy.
