A minute had passed and Haerin was still looking at the sky.

The only thing was to hope that his face would fall apart or his eyes would pop out of their lids.

She was about to die of embarrassment for accusing Danielle of dating even though Haerin had never had the consent to hinder such a thing, being that the two were not even engaged.

Danielle had been a simple sexual outing to stop her heat from Omega, but Haerin felt something else when she looked at her and that's why she didn't even want to glance at her.

She hated ridiculing herself like this, now she should have said something but what was she supposed to say?

"Would you like to tell me something? You came here for do something or not?" Danielle asked.

Haerin opened her eyes wide as she placed her hand all over his face believing that Danielle was reading her mind.

She slid his hand up to her neck almost wanting to run a knife across her jugular and kill herself.

She swallowed hard as she saw how Danielle smiled at her shame. She was swinging her legs back and forth along with her bag that was in her hands, with a flirtatious smile just waiting for Haerin to tell her what she wanted to hear.

She faintly saw the shadow of her mother who, hidden behind the door, was trying to eavesdrop on what the two were saying.

Danielle turned and closed the door with an apologetic smile.

"I hope you'll be honest," Danielle whispered, leaning her back against her door. She was waiting a little too long for a reaction from Haerin, honestly she expected something to happen.

Those minutes before her had been the best of her entire life: seeing Haerin so furious with her had made her shake completely, almost convincing her to throw herself into the Alpha's arms and kiss her.

Danielle knew what she was doing these days: Haerin's gaze had always been on her, but she had never been very good at expressing herself romantically.

When it came to love, she Danielle was the last one to ask: she had never been in a relationship and the only thing she knew about love was kisses.

She wanted to say something to Haerin when they consumed their bodies against each other that afternoon as if they were disposable objects, but she didn't know how to tell her without destroying their previous relationship.

Danielle thought that it had just been a simple effect of her pheromones that afternoon and that Haerin didn't feel something for her like Danielle had felt when he first met her.

She hated feeling so small when Haerin got close to her, but she had never been so shy when someone came so close to her.

Danielle wanted to express herself too but she wanted to hear what Haerin wanted to say first.

She hadn't heard her voice for days and the only thing she had done was ignore it so as not to kill her false hopes or get her heart broken, but now she was standing in front of her with his hair messy because of his fingers full of agitation and with lips almost bleeding from all those bites she gave herself with her teeth to stop his desire to speak.

It was as she imagined, her being a coward had gotten the better of her again.

"I..." she whispered but Haerin wasn't in her best condition to continue. She slapped herself on the forehead and as if someone had tied her body with a rope, she fell to the ground.

Danielle was startled by the thought that Haerin had fainted, although she could still hear the sound of her shoes tapping against each other rhythmically.
