She hated the wind on his face and the draft had become stronger when she returned home. She looked at her phone placed in her pocket along with her hands sweating from the heat of his shirt. She sniffed feeling that her cold would get to her this evening from being out of her mind all the time.

It was only November and the time of illness was already making itself felt together with the winter heat spreading over the houses. Those houses that hosted family warmth.

Haerin didn't want to go home, she would rather die in the cold that evening. She had taken the long way past Mrs. Park's house so that she wouldn't get home before she was now in a place completely opposite to where her house was. She swallowed, looking before her eyes at the groups of boys and girls walking as if those rustles of strong wind on their faces were nothing.

It wasn't what she saw honestly, she hated feeling that warmth of friendship and fun that she exuded from those groups. She also wanted to have a smile on her face and say that she felt happy but how could she feel it if she now found herself returning home with her own soul forced into her.

She stopped on a bench not caring about the wind and the falling evening. His hair blew in his face and the noise of the cars slowly faded as time passed. She thought it would make her head warm from the cold surrounding his body.

Was her family really the problem with her not returning home?

Was this really how she wanted to lie to herself that evening?

Was her brain really that good at making up lies so as not to disappoint her heart?

Or was it her own conscience that forced her to believe what she was doing?

"I really want to go but..." she whispered to herself touching her legs with her hands rubbing them against her so she would have some warmth. The house was not a duty but a choice, and her choice was not aimed at the house but something entirely different.

Could her heart really sink into her ignorance of her and close her eyes to the desire to go to Danielle even just to hear her laugh or her gaze for a few seconds?

She sniffed again and blinked away the cold in front of her.

If she really had the courage she would have done it, but who was she at that moment to put some courage in her heart and go to Danielle's house at that moment?

They still hadn't spoken since the last time they met. Danielle had refused to talk to her until that night of sex they had had for the heat of the Omega.

Haerin felt like a person slammed with a door in his face. Haerin had loved that night and she felt that her heart had not stopped saying Danielle's name from that moment they consummated their kiss.

It warmed her soul when she thought about how Danielle's smile looked so good too when she finished kissing her after a strong orgasm.

The Omega, however, had ignored her since that night. At school she was untouchable and whenever Haerin came near her, the Omega always tried to be occupied with something of hers. Maybe Danielle was a coward too.

"It's not her fault, she will definitely feel exploited.." thought Haerin. The Alpha thought her Omega hated her for taking advantage of her at such a weak time in her month. He wondered if doing so had also made Danielle happy that day or was it just the effect of the pill she had taken that made her feel that passion and warmth towards her.

That love could also be platonic and those smiles that evening could also be an illusion of her subconscious. She slapped his forehead and got up from the bench to walk home, rejecting his last idea of having courage and walking towards Danielle's house.

The next day she showed up at school with two graves under his eyes and a crazy desire to die under some train tracks. How could she endure another day of Danielle looking hateful towards her? She felt her entire soul shaking at the defeat of an impossible improvement.

Mrs. Park had understood yesterday that that desperate face was due to some Omega but only Haerin could solve that problem.

She leaned against his locker seeing people walking slowly and talking about what they had been doing these days.

Only then did Hyein approach her with a hot dog in her hands and her backpack on her shoulders, not worried that her lessons would soon begin. She surely must have recently entered school and her eating had attracted her.

"Damn this thing tastes good" she said with her mouth full and smiling with her lips closed so as not to let her mouth see the mess inside her.

Haerin looked at her and rolled his eyes "Do you think it's time to eat? The bell will ring soon, and you haven't put your backpack in your locker yet" Haerin said crossing his arms over his chest.

Hyein looked her up and down and then gave her a lewd smile as she swallowed the bite, "What's wrong with you today? You seem more obnoxious than usual. This..." she continued, waving the hot dog in front of Haerin's face as if wanted to make him want his food, "Someone offered it to me! I'm sorry people don't give you anything for free!" she said victoriously, taking another bite from the hot dog.

Haerin sighed today wasn't his day and she didn't want to have a stupid argument about hot dogs with Hyein.

"Who gave it to you?" Haerin asked curious about the information she had given her the Omega, "You wouldn't believe it but Minji gave it to me" the Omega said in a low voice making Haerin's eyes widen she couldn't believe what she heard.

Hyein knew full well why the Alpha had acted this way towards her. Giving her a hot dog was like saying 'shut up and don't tell anyone about what happened'.

Hyein was fine with not telling anyone other than her and her best friends as well as Haerin and Hanni. But how could she say something like that to Hanni? She must have been out of her mind to tell her about what she had seen between the two of them that evening.

After all, telling Haerin would not have improved things, in fact there would have been a discussion that would have continued for centuries to come. Maybe Minji and her hot dog option was better, she should have kept quiet and pretended as if nothing had happened.

"Are you sure that isn't poisoned or she didn't put her sperm in it?" Haerin asked, taking it from Hyein's hand in a hurry.

Hyein made a disgusted face thinking about how Minji could have masturbated on her hot dog.

"What the fuck are you talking about!" Hyein said spitting her saliva into the trash can closest to her. She took the hot dog and threw it away. She wiped her hands on her pants and then composed herself by lifting her backpack onto her shoulders while letting out a sigh of calm.

"I better get to class" she whispered closing her eyes and setting off on her path. At that moment, right next to Hyein, Danielle passed by and smiled at her and asked her if she was okay.

They spent minutes talking and after the sound of the bell began to spread throught the corridors. Haerin saw Hyein running at her best while Danielle smiled at the scene along with her friends.

Haerin watched from afar what else could she do, she felt Danielle's gaze on her but it seemed almost transparent to the point that her heart no longer gave her a reaction.

She saw if her locker was closed properly and sighed wistfully. She was melancholic at not being able to have that smile all to herself and not feeling the still strong feeling that she felt in her heart every time she smiled at her.

She really wanted things to go back to what they were but she had the chance to have a night of passion with the person she loved.

Maybe it was what she deserved for putting her desire before her emotions.
