Chapter 35: A day out as a princess

Erika was awoken by Kuuderika and Ureirika early the next morning. The sunlight from the window breaking her out of her peaceful slumber.

"Littel mistress wake up, it's time to get dressed for the day." Ureirika says gently shaking her.
Erika groans rolling away from the girl.
"Mistress wake up, your Papa will be expecting you soon. You need to get dressed for the day." Kuuderika said.

"Why are we waking her so early?"
"Lord Ainz and Demiurge have decided it would be best if you went into the city and made a show of good will."

"Really?!" Erika said head shooting up from under the covers. The twins giggled at the sudden action.
"Yes, he's expecting you. So you need to hurry."
Erika shot up, "I'm up! I'm up! Where are my clothes!"

The twins were quick to help the young demon change. They had so much fun shifting through the different dresses that she had brought that the three girls had forgotten about the time limit.

When they had finally found the perfect dress for Erika to wear it was already time for breakfast. The twins had managed to sneak her a slice of toast.
It wasn't long until her papa had arrived at her bedroom door.

"Are you ready, my flame? We have much to do today." Erika looked up at him. Face wrinkled in confusion as she looked at him. He wasn't wearing his usual black and purple robes. No instead he was wearing red robes with a gold trim. The color of the robes were aligned with gems.

He looked absolutely shiny and Erika was mesmerized.
"Flame?" He asked.

Erika felt her cheeks warm up. Her tail wrapped around her, embarrassed. "Oh um sorry Papa you just look so nice." The twins giggled at their Mistresses words.

Ainz was taken back, he hadn't expected his little flame to compliment him on his outfit. He didn't really feel comfortable in such an extravagant garment. But if Erika liked it then he guessed it was a good choice to let Fith choose his clothing.

"Why thank you, my flame. Now come, we can't be late. We have to meet with Albedo and the Lich."
Erika quickly grabbed her sun hat before following Ainz. The twins were quick to follow after them.

It didn't take them long to reach the Office room were Albedo and three Lich were waiting patiently for them.

"Ah Lord Ainz you're here." Albedo smiled. "And a good morning to you, Lady Erika. Are you ready for today?"

"Yup! I'm really excited." As the two walked over to the desk. Ainz sat down before placing Erika in his lap. While the twins stood by the door next to Fith.
"What a dashing ensemble you're wearing. Why it seems as if it's glowing my lord. And Lady Erika, what a cute dress.Truly no one else can pull such a look off beautifully!"

Erika blushed and hid her face in Ainz's shoulder. Ainz chuckled at her actions. "Thank you for your kind words Albedo."

The Lich began to place three stacks of thick binders on the desk. Erika grabbed one and began to flip through the pages.A frown gracing her features as she looked over the contents.

It spoke of the stagnant resources, and the need to improve the current farms. It was a list of all the issues that have been happening throughout the different lands.

She felt Ainz being to shift behind her. Reaching over her shoulder to grab the binder. He placed it aside before grabbing another.

He quickly scanned the contents, giving a thoughtful hum. Erika stared up at his intense gaze. Whatever was in the binder had to be important.
'Yep I have absolutely no idea what this says.' Ainz thought helplessly.
