I managed to get like an hour or two of sleep. But apparently Max had the same idea as I did since she was writing away at the same desk I spent in last night writing all the letters. I managed to finish all the letters and gave the desk to Max.

Now we were reading come article about some Victor Creel dude that happened to have survived the same attackes that happened more than just one decade ago. Genuinely, I was confused. I didn't understand how any of this information could save me or Max from Vecna's curse.

"Okay, be honest uh...do you guys understand any of this?" Steve asked pacing around the basement with the paper in his hands. "No." Lucas said annoyed. I looked at the paper and shok my head, clicking my tongue. "Not at all."

"Pretty straightforward." Dustin said. As usual. Erica's right, he is a nerd. How the hell is he understanding this?  "Oh. Straightforward, really?" Steve said sarcastically looking over at the young boy.

Dustin propped his elbows onto his knees and looked at my brother. "Well what's confusing to you? So far everyone Vecna has cursed has died except for this old Victor Creel dude Nancy found. He's the only known survivor. If anyone knows how to beat this curse, it's him."

I looked down at the paper. Now it made a bit more sense. That was until Steve decided to make a comment, losing me again. "Yeah, that's assuming that he was cursed, Henderson. Which we don't even know. How can Vecna have existed in the 50's? It doesn't make sense."

Surprisingly, he made a point. How did he exist? And why's he coming for us now? What was the point?

"As far as we know Eleven didn't create the Upside Down. She opened a gate to it. The Upside Down has probably been around for thousands of years. Millions. I wouldn't be surprised if it pre-dated the dinosaurs." Dustin rambled. When did dinosaurs enter the chat?

"Di-Dinosaurs? What are we-"

"Okay okay. But if a gate didn't exist in the 50's, how did Vecna get through?" Lucas made a point. Which helped me realize something. "Oh and how's he getting through now?" I asked following along.

Lucas looked at me and continued the cycle. "And why now?" Then Steve finally caught on. "And why then? Just pops out in the 50's, kills one family, and he's like 'pfft. Eh. I'm good' And poof he just disappears. Just...gone? Only to return 30 years later and start killing some random teens?"

That's when he made a point. "Nah, I don't buy it. Straightforward my ass. Y'know, honestly Henderson, a little humility now and then wouldn't hurt you." He slightly scolded Dustin.

"Sorry." Dustin said looking down. I wrapped my srm around his shoulder. I tried to act as happy as possible and not seem like I was worrying about the situation. I wanted to spend my last moments with these people happy. Not full of sadness and fear.

"Hey don't go too hard on him." I said looking over at my twin brother. "Sometimes I wonder how you're my twin sister." Steve said bluntly. I shrugged "Polar opposites I guess."

Dustin smiled at me and Steve sat in the armchair that was in front of the couch. I brought my arm back and looked at the paper trying to figure anything else out. This was all so confusing. My hopes to save me and Max were thrown right out the window.

"Any idea what she's writing?" The boy next to me asked. I looked and saw he was talking about Max. I had an idea before shrugging and looking back down at my paper.

However, Dustin, Lucas, and Steve didn't tear their eyes away from her. Weird. "Did she sleep" I heard Dustin ask concerned. I know I barely got any sleep. It's that fear of dying that made you not sleepy. Vecna could get any of us at any time. We had to stay alert.

"I mean, would you?" Lucas asked looking over at his curly-haired friend. Just then the door to the basement flew open and footsteps started coming down. Which caused me to look up from the paper and I saw Nancy and Robin coming.

"Okay. So," Nancy said before making eye contact with Robin. Then she looked back at us with a proud confident smile. "We have a plan." She said with that stupid smile on her face.

I scoff and roll my eyes. "Of course you do." I mumbled under my breath causing Steve to reach over and smack my head. "Ow! You dickhead!" I said annoyed and smacking his head back. He glared st me but luckily was mature enough to not argue back with me.

Nancy rolled her eyes at us and handed Steve a folder or something. She had another one in her hand. Why the hell wouldn't she hand it over? I scoffed before getting up off the couch and pushing her aside slightly to look at the papers in Steve's hand.

She glared at me before standing right next to Robin. I saw some type of script there? What the hell was this plan? Pursue an acting career?

"Thanks to Nancy's newspaper minions, we are now rockstar psychology students at the University of Notre Dame." Robin explained. It was always damn Nancy.

"I'm now Ruth."

"And I'm Rose."

"Ruth?" I asked looking at Nancy who was slightly taller than me. She shrugged and I scoffed at her before looking back at the paper. "Nice GPA." Dustin complimented. "Thanks" Nancy said in an annoying high pitched voice. She got on my nerves.

"So we called Pennhurst Asylum, told them we'd like to speak with Victor Creel for a these we're co-writing on paranoid schizophrenics." Nancy started explaining. "To which they said no" Robin finished.

Nancy then continued. "But we landed a three o'clock with the director." She said as Steve handed over the folder to Lucas to have a look at it. "Now all we have to do is, charm him, and convince him to let us talk to Victor."

"And then we can rid Max of this curse." Nancy said. "Okay, so I suddenly don't exist and it doesn't matter if I die or not? Okay!" I said sarcastically. Nancy gave me a daring look. "I didn't mean it like tha-"

I cut her off "No, you did. And judging by that look on your face, you definitely did" Steve glared at me and I rolled my eyes. Nancy didn't answer and my brother was quick to change the topic.

"Anyways...about that. We've been doing our Victor Creel homework and uh...we got some questions." Steve spoke for all of us when he said that. I was just back at the couch with my arms crossed over my chest with a stupid pout on my face. Steve always had to get in the way while I'm in the middle of hating on Nancy.

"Lots of questions." Lucas continued, giving Steve the paper back. "So do we. Hopefully Victor has the answers." Nancy said laying her elbows onto her knees. Steve scanned through the papers one more time before realizing something.

"Wait, wait. Wait a second uh..." He closed the folder then looked at Nancy. "Where's ours?" He asked signalling to both me and him. But he was right. Were we not about to be included in this? Again?

Nancy took a deep breath and looked at us with a stupid smirk. She was definitely planning on leaving us out again. Gosh, she's such a bitch.
