I shoot up off my bed once I hear the door to my room burst open. I look at my brother who looked like a mess. "Geez, what the hell is wrong with you Steve!?" I rubbed my eyes feeling sleepy as hell.
"Hurry up and get ready we're late for work!" He shouted before running to get ready himself. I groaned and started getting ready. I barely did any makeup. Just some foundation under my eyes and mascara. I ran downstairs to Steve was was waiting and without a word we ran to the car. We picked Robin up and made our way to Family Video.

Surprisingly, this time Robin had finished her makeup so I was able to sit in the front seat. Steve pulled over to the parking lot and we walked out the car. I unlocked the store and walked inside while Robin flipped over the sign.

I walked over to a pile of video tapes. "Hey guys how about a movie night tonight?" Robin looked over at me. "What movie are you thinking?" Steve walked over to me and looked at all the tapes. "Oh thats a buttload of tapes to organize"

I rolled my eyes and answered Robin's question. "I don't know." She raised her eyebrow at me and I smiled at her innocently. "By the way Robin, I saw Vickie spoke to you at the game yesterday" I smirked at her while I started to put the tapes in their correct places.

She looked at me and then smiled. "Wait she did actually?" I look at Steve in disbelief and roll my eyes. "She did. And-and-and then...I told her about the muppet joke. Because she overheard me with you guys and then...she laughed! And it wasn't like a cheap, fake laugh either it was like...It was like a real, genuine laugh" She told us while we all put the tapes in their correct places.

"Of course she laughed Robin. Its my muppet joke. It's hilarious" I rolled my eyes at his comment and continued putting the tapes away. "My point is that Vickie laughed and everything was just like...it was perfect." Robin explained. I finished the tapes and walked next to her and raised my eyebrow. "But?" I asked her knowing there was something else.

"But I'm having this problem where it's like, I should stop talking. I have said everything I need to say but then I guess I get nervous, and the words they just-they keep spilling out and it's like my...my brain is moving faster than my mouth or-or rather my-my mouth is moving faster than my brain and it's like I'm digging this hole for myself and I want to stop digging, I'm trying to stop digging but I can't and I'm going it right now aren't i?"

I blink at her before nodding, leaning against one of the cabinets. "Yeah...you are" Robin exhales sharply before backing up against a wall. "I'm hopeless" Steve walks up next to her and leans against the same wall.

"Eh. We both are." I stand there awkwardly. "I'm feeling left out." I said, staying against the counter. Then Robin speaks up. "If only we could just, like, combine" I raise my eyebrow at her and cross my arms over my chest. "What are you getting at?" Steve stares into space. "Combine?" He asks.

"No, think about it. I know exactly what I want and I've found the girl of my dreams but I just can't get the courage to ask her out." Me and Steve both nod listening in on her explanation. "Meanwhile you go on like, a million dates and you have no idea what you want." Steve hums in agreement before she continues her explanation. "And Jules...you aren't even trying. You have no clue what you want, you dont go on any dates and you're noy even trying to find someone for you"

I nod at her showing that she indeed is correct. "So if we just combined..." Me and Steve "ooooh"ed in response. "...all our problems would be solved. Because I mean...alone, let's face it" She chuckles and Steve finished the sentence for her "We totally suck" I stand straight and then speak up "Totally and utterly" I stifle a laugh

"Ooh! I think I found our morning movie." She walked towards the shelf and my gaze followed her. She picked up a tape and I look at her confused. "Doctor Zhivago!"

"Ugh! You know I don't do double VHS." Steve exclaimed pushing himself off the wall and shaking his hands dramatically. "But it's about doomed love..." Robin said softly. I grabbed a cart with more tapes inside and spoke up. "Oh well that's relatable" Robin agreed. "Precisely...also Julie Christie is b-b-b-bonkers hot in this. Like, seriously the most beautiful creature I have ever seen in my life."

She grabs the remote to the tv behind the counter and turns it on. It seems to be the news for today. I never cared much for the news. So I wasn't really paying attention. I followed her behind the counter along with Steve. But the words to come out of the news reporter's mouth shocks me.

"We're in the Forest Hills trailer park in east Roane County we don't have a lot of details right now, but we can confirm that the body of a Hawkins High student was discovered early this morning. Police have not yet released the victims' name although we are told that they're currently in the process of notifying the family"

"Holy shit..." Steve mumbles behind me. I stare at the tv in disbelief. There was the championship game just last night...

"What do you think happened?" I ask the two young adults behind me. "I have no clue..." Robin responds still looking at the news reporter.

Maybe it was Chrissy...I mean the trailer park? I know Max and Eddie live there but Chrissy went there last night. It only increased my worry for each of them. Even though I didn't know Chrissy or Eddie that well it'd still suck if they died...
