"Does it bother you that like,we might win a championship right after you guys graduated?" I grimaced at her comment but try to hide it. "Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's an interesting point. Thank you so much for bringing that up, Brenda" Steve looked at me as if saying 'help me' I only laughed and shook my head before following them to the seats.

I saw Robin with the band and Vickie next to her. I smirked to myself before looking to the basketball court and saw the players warming up in think. I have no clue how these games work.

"Everyone now please rise for our national anthem" I saw some bald man on the mic. I stand up to show some respect. "Singing for us tonight we have a very special guest. All the way from Nashville, our very own, Tammy Thompson!"

My jaw dropped. I looked at Steve and we looked at Robin. She turned back to look at us and mouthed something I couldn't understand. I turned back to look at Tammy who walked in waving at the whole crowd.

"oOo sAaAy...cAn yOu sEeEeE bY tHe dAaAwNs eArLy LiIiIgHt..."

I cringed at her singing and Steve looked at Robin. "I told you...muppet." He whispered to Robin. She smiled. "Okay she does sound like a muppet" Robin whispered back before she snapped her head to look at Vickie who I guessed spoke up.

I smiled as I saw them talk. "Wow. She sounds amazing. Doesn't she?" I heard Brenda say. I raised my eyebrow at Steve. What an interesting taste in women he has.

"iN tHe rOcKeTs rEeEd gLaReEeE tHe bOmBs bUrStInG iN aIrRr gAvE pRoOf tHroUgH tHe nIgHt tHaT oUr fLaG wAs sTiLl tHeRe. oO sAy dOeS tHaT sTaR sPaNgLeD..."

She continues to sing the national anthem until she finally finishes. The game starts and it actually peaked my interest. I noticed Lucas was on the bench and I felt kinda bad.

After a while, one of the players got injured and had to step out. But luckily, Lucas was brought in. I'd be lying to myself if I said he sucked because Lucas was a damn good player.

The scores were 68-69 when Jason who I learnt was the basketball captain, called a timeout. The Hawkins team huddled together to talk about God knows what while the band played.

After that, they got back ok the court and Jason threw the basketball to the net but it missed. A couple of players from each team gathered around the net. Once the ball missed the net, the players jumped trying to catch it but Lucas caught it successfully. I stood up from my seat to get a better view of what was happening and others soon followed.

With only seconds left, Lucas got further away from the other players bouncing the ball before throwing it into the air. The ball moved around the net before it finally made it inside the hoop. Making the scores even.

Apparently that meant Hawkins High won, because everyone broke into cheers. I had a fat smile plastered onto my face as I clapped for Lucas.

After the game we walked outside. I have no clue where Brenda went off to but she wasn't with us. And I am glad about that. She annoyed me and I could tell that Steve definitely didn't see himself having a relationship with her.

As I walked to the car I caught Chrissy Cunningham, the cheerleader, get inside Eddie's van. What could she possibly want with him? My gaze lingered on them for a while before Steve spoke up from inside the car.

"Hey. You okay?" I looked at him before looking back at Eddie's van who had driven away. "Uh...yeah...yeah" I nod before getting inside the car and we drove back home.

Once we got home I had a bad feeling. I didn't know why. I kept replaying the sigh of seeing Chrissy get into Eddie's van. But why?

I assumed I was just overthinking it and tried to go to sleep. But I couldn't. I tossed and turned for hours. I sighed and got off my bed. I walked to the bathroom and looked at the mirror. I had bad eye bags. I don't know why I was in such a state. Billy's death was almost a year ago, so why can't i get over it after i was just getting better.

Then out of nowhere I felt a bad headache. Like bad bad. It only lasted a second before it drifted away. Then I felt a warm liquid pour down my nose. I brought my hand up and wiped it. My nose was bleeding. At 1 in the morning? That's weird.

The bleeding stopped and I just shrugged it off. Probably because I was hungry. I was finally able to get some sleep but barely only a few hours.

Little did I know the events that would take place that same day...
