Hey y'all. Welcome to my second full-length story. If you're new, I hope you enjoy what this story has in store for you. If you've read My Greatest Award, you're in for a very different experience.
This story is a much darker one than my previous one, so I need to say beforehand that there will be some sensitive content. Nothing too crazy, but content warning for horror, death, gore, mental health, grief, mentions of suicide, and violence. Also, obviously warning for ghosts and supernatural occurrences. I'll be including additional warnings in front of chapters that really need them.
Unlike My Greatest Award, the dialogue in this story can be considered 100% Korean. So I won't be using italics to differentiate between languages in the dialogue.
You'll see why later, but the entire story is solely from the perspective of Y/N, so no additional POVs.
A pretty major point in this story is that it takes place in a universe parallel to the universe of the K-drama Hotel Del Luna, except that the events of the drama happen in 2022 instead of 2019. That being said, there are some pretty big spoilers for the drama, so be warned. For those who haven't watched it and don't plan to, you can understand the story perfectly fine without it.
As with My Greatest Award, I will be including a "soundtrack" for The Next Life at the end, after the story has concluded. However, if you can't wait, you can find the link to the soundtrack playlist on Spotify in my profile bio.
With all that said, I really hope you enjoy this story and find it worth your time. This project is something that's close to my heart, as I've implemented so many aspects that I love in stories, and it represents over 2 years of work.
