Todays the first basketball game of the season. I'm excited to say the least. We've been practicing out asses off since we started practices.

"Hey, dude. You excited for the game today? Think were gonna win it?" James comes out from nowhere.

"Hey, yeah I'm excited. I think we can kick their ass. What do you think?" I question, we have a pretty good team. There's one fucker names Allen that pisses me off though.

"I think we got it in the bag, If Allen actually passes the fucking ball. Dudes a ball hog, its annoying."

Allen has a bad problem with ball hogging. Anytime he had the ball he always wanted to make a  goal,  and yes I get it because who doesn't but he's bad about it. When someone else is open he doesn't pass the ball, even if he's being blocked and has no chance of making the shot.  Its annoying as fuck and if he keeps this up we'll have no chance at winning.

"We just have to make sure he doesn't get the ball, if we do that then we're for sure gonna win." I explain.

"Yeah." we fall into comfortable silence for a little bit while walking to our cars. " So, what have you been up to recently?"

"Nothing much, what about you?"

"Same, your bruises are getting better. Less visible, that's good." He points out.

"Yeah they are, I've been taking care of them since it happened so its sped up the process I guess."

"That's good, how's your mom been?" He questions.

"She's been good, I mean as good as she can be considering. What about yours? how's Cameron and Georgina?" I reply curiously.

"They've been good, mom just got a new job working at some law firm or something. They both told me to tell you that they miss you and you should come over again, since you haven't" been over much." He elaborated.

"Yeah, well then I guess I have to come over, now that I think about it I really haven't been over in a long time." I recall.

"They really do miss you, I think they like you better than me, maybe more then Jace too." He jokes.

" Nah, I know you're joking. How is Jace? When's the last time you talked to him?"

Jace is Maddens older brother, he moved out two years ago to go to college and he visits when he can.

"He's good, talked to him the other day, him and his girlfriend Olivia have been thinking about getting an apartment off campus." He explains.

"Oh really? That sounds cool. The next time he comes up here he should bring her. Every time I ask you about him he always mentions her and I've never seen her." That is true, every time I ask James how Jace is it always includes something about his girlfriend Olivia. I've never seen a picture or anything, just heard stories about them together and they sound like a good couple.

"You know what, that's actually not a bad idea. I should ask him." He brightens up at the thought.

"You do that, I'm going home before the game, see you later." I wave bye to him then get on my bike.

Once I get home my I see my mom in the kitchen. " Hola, bebe, ¿cómo te fue en la escuela?" (Hi, baby, how was school?)

"Hola mamá, la escuela estuvo bien, ¿vienes al juego?" I ask. (Hi mom, school was good, are you coming to the game?)

"Sí, no me lo perdería." She responds. ( Yes, wouldn't miss it.)

"Okay, well I'm gonna go upstairs and get ready, I have to leave soon since were doing a mini practice before. When will you be coming?" I ask.
