Fix the broken

Chapter 29.

We're having  what my dad calls a family day today.

We just spend the day together. Most of the time we do these family days we just go downstairs and play bored games or we have a family movie night. Sometimes depending on when we start we have time to do both.

He said he wants us to spend some time together before we have to go back to school. We go back to school tomorrow.

I was surprised when I didn't get a text on Thanksgiving telling me not to eat too much but much to my dismay it came the day after.

Unknown: You didn't eat too much yesterday, did you kitten?

Like always I just blocked the number and didn't respond.

Today though I'm spending the day with my dad and siblings. I'm excited though, we haven't hung out all together in a while.

I take a shower before heading downstairs, I don't know exactly what we have planned for the day and plus I like taking showers in the morning more.

Once I'm done with my shower I brush my teeth and dry my hair.

Making my way downstairs I see dad in the living room. He looks up from his phone and see's me. "Hey, sweetheart, are you excited?"

I nod, going to sit next to him saying, "Yep, what are we doing today?"

"Hmm, I haven't decided yet, what do you want to do? You wanna go out or stay in?" He questions. 

"Uhm, ask someone else. I don't know." My dad should know better than to ask me questions like that, I'm very indecisive. I know it's just a simple stay in or go out but I don't even know which one I want. Do I want to go out in the cold weather and do something, or do I want to stay in where it's warmer, but we might have more fun if we go out. See, very indecisive.

"Right, you and your indecisiveness, I guess we could go out." He decides.        

"Sounds good. What are you thinking we do?" I know he just said he doesn't know what we're doing but maybe now that he's decided we go out he has a better idea of what to do.

"We could, go to the mall, I know you and Lily would like that, and Marco might depending on what stores we go into. You wanna do that?" He asks getting up and going into the kitchen. I follow him.

"That sounds good, I'm gonna go make sure their awake." I point towards the stairs. He shakes his head stopping me.

"I'll do it, there's still some time for these cinnamon rolls still have some time left so I'll go check." He closes the oven back then starts heading upstairs.

Cinnamon rolls are so good but they have a lot of calories and sugar. That's one of the main reasons I don't eat them anymore. Another because every time I do eat them I feel guilty and end up throwing it all up later.

While dads upstairs I head back to the living room and sit on the couch, pulling out my phone I go to my text seeing Mae's texted me.

Mae Mae: Hey girl, what are you doing today?

Me: Remember when we used to have those family days?

Mae Mae: Yeah of course, you always made them sound so fun, you doing one today?

Me: Yep, what are you doing today?

Mae Mae: Well I was gonna ask if you wanted to hang out since it's the last day before school starts again but you're busy. You better tell me all about your day later.
