When Maria said yes to going to the after party I was kind of surprised. Why? I don't know, but I was.

"Did you bring any dress up type clothes?" She asks me in the elevator.

"Yeah, you?" I ask back.

"Yeah, I brought two dresses." She shrugs then walks out the elevator since it finally opened. With me following straight behind her.

We make it to our room and head inside, I don't know how their going to fit the basketball and cheer team into one room but that's not my problem.

Walking out of the bathroom Maria looks beautiful. Like a goddess or something.

She's wearing a red and black dress with a leather jacket on and knee high boots. She looks stunning.

"So, how'd I look?" She asks, drawing my attention back to her face. Yes, I was checking her out, sue me.

"You look." I take in a deep breath. " really pretty." I say then mentally face palm myself. I meant to say great like the other time but it just slipped out, and I know I didn't say anything like stunning or something but still, I find this super embarrassing for no reason what so ever.

She looks flustered and if I'm being honest so am I. "Thanks, is- um, that what your wearing?" She questions trying to divert the topic from her.

"Yeah, you like?" I raise an eyebrow. I'm wearing jeans and a white shirt so nothing to different from what I usually wear.

"Yeah, you look good. Ready to go?" She rushes out, I nod and get up then we're out the door heading to the elevator to get to the floor the party's on.

We get to the floor and it's crowded by everyone. James comes running up to us with Mae right besides him, "hey, so whoever decided to have a party in one room wasn't thinking but they went around the hall and everyone was on the basketball or cheer team so we're just gonna use everyone's rooms. Foods in rooms three o seven,three o eight, and three o nine. It's pizza and chips in all of them. The other ones are just to hang out in, most all the alcohol is in room three seventeen but there's some in all the rooms." He gives us a rundown.

Maria and I say okay then her and Mae go off to a room, James and I following behind from a distance.

"Did you think we were gonna win?" He questions.

"Honestly I didn't know, they were really good, a lot better than I thought they would be."

"Yeah, me too. And it's a good thing Allen wasn't on the court for long." I sigh.

"I know right, you drinking tonight?" He asks.

"Nah, I got to drunk last time and don't want that to happen again." I explain. "What about you?"

"Nope, I can drink at home when I have nothing to do but tonight I want to be fully present." He tells me.

"Why? You think you and Mae are gonna have sex?" I ask.

"I don't know, but even if we don't I still want to be fully present. Especially because we're in a random city." He replied.

I nod my head in understanding. I don't know if they've had sex yet and it's none of my business but if he wants to tell me he will.
