Maria
________We decided to go get something to eat first. Great.
My food consumption has gone down a lot since that text. I was doing good, great even. With Lorenzo helping me out I was doing pretty good.
We're now at this breakfast place, they also sell burgers and stuff but it's mostly just breakfast items.
I decide to get chicken tenders because that's become my comfort food, weird since I went to the bathroom and threw it up but it is what it is.
Ever since this morning with Lorenzo and I, he's been very touchy. He's usually touchy but he's being very touchy today. I'm not complaining.
When the food gets here I feel like I'm sweating. I drink more of my water.
"Maria." Mae calls out.
"Huh." I look up.
"I said, what do you think we're gonna do? Like you think we're gonna find something to do." She questions.
"I don't know, maybe we'll find like a fair or something."
"Ohh, yes that would be fun."
"There's one near here open." Lorenzo says from beside me looking at his phone.
"Cool, how far?" I ask looking over at his phone.
"Like five minutes. Driving. Twenty minutes walking." The fuck. I am not walking that far. Actually I could use the exercise.
"Okay, so it'll take twenty minutes to get there-" I get cut off by Mae who just got done with a bite of her waffle.
"I don't want to walk that far." Drama queen.
"You have money?" I raise my eyebrow.
"No."
"Exactly, now as I was saying-" is everyone just gonna cut me off.
"I can pay for a Uber." James says. Great. I knew someone had money for a cab but still, if I'm about to eat this I need to burn off the calories somehow. Speaking of eating I haven't touched my food.
"Are you okay." Lorenzo bends down to my ear. Is it hot in here?
"Yeah, why?"
"You haven't touched your food."
"Oh, yeah, I've just been busy talking, I'll eat." I wave him off.
He just squeezes my thigh, oh yeah, his hand has been resting on my thigh since we got seated. Can't say I'm complaining. I like it.
I slowly start eating. I keep telling myself you can do it.
I try to keep talking most of the time so I don't have to eat as much. It worked pretty well. I ate half my food and now we're heading out of the restaurant.
I'll just burn off the calories at the fair.
We ended up taking an Uber since Mae didn't want to walk. I don't think anyone else wanted to either.
