Unknown: You think you've gotten rid of me? You're wrong. I'm always watching you.

There starting to creep me out. Kidding, they've been creeping me out but I don't want to tell anyone because I'll just be a burden to them. Like always.

I know that's not a good idea because these messages keep coming in. Every time I block the number a new one pops up. Always saying something about me betraying him.

I know it's Efren, but that bitch is stupid. I didn't betray him. How the fuck could I betray him? It's not like I started fake dating Lorenzo while we were together.

Yes I only waited a week but I think that's totally fair. If it was actual love between us and he didn't abuse me, or if he broke my heart by breaking up with me, or if I broke his- nonexistent- heart by breaking up with him, then yeah I think it's fair.

I ended things and we broke up. Simple as that. Then I got with Lorenzo. Faking of course. For protection and all that.

"Mariaaa." Lily yells from downstairs. " Mae's here."

At school Mae told me that she wanted to come over and we go to the mall or something since we haven't hung out recently. Which is true. I need to make more time for her instead of putting all my attention on Lorenzo.

I mean, she is my best friend, and I love her so I need to spend more time with her. Preferable outside of the school cafeteria.

"Hey, bitch." She barges into my room.

"Hey. What's up." I enthusiastically say.

"You ready? We got things to do, places to shop at." She pushes me out of my room.

"Yes, chill out." I laugh.

On the way out I see my dad at the kitchen. "Papá, me voy al centro comercial con Mae." (Dad, I'm leaving to go to the mall with Mae.)

"Está bien, mantente a salvo. ¿Necesitas dinero?"
(Okay, be safe. You need money?)

"No, I'm fine. Thank you though." I smile.

"Here just take some, just in case." He hands me some money, how much I don't know, looks like a lot though.

"Thank you, I love you." I hug him.

"I love you too." He hugs me back.

As soon as we get in the car Mae starts talking. "Okay, so I was thinking we'll shop first, get some food while we're there. Then depending on what time it is we either shop more or go home. Sound good." She says, while keeping her eyes on the road.

"Perfect." I nod.

"Great, have you ever wanted on of those worm on a string things?" She randomly asks.

"Uh,no, can't say that I have." I side eye her.

"Look, it's so cute. It would look great on my bookshelf." She shows me a picture when we stop at a red light.
