I look back at the front door and rub my eyes just to know if I saw who I am thinking I just saw for real.

"Ria forward nuh," Skull shout driving up into the compound.

So impatient today, I think to myself while rolling my eyes.

"Roll your eye again n see if me nuh jook them out."

"Whatever." I reply rolling my eyes again.

"Gwaan until me blind you." He says in a low playful voice.

"Skull did you just see Zahria walk inside?"

"Nosah, forward ina the car nuh Ria cause me have some stuff fi do. You want me drop you a the mall and wait or wah later?"

"You can stay, especially cause you want to see somebody." I reply smiling.

"Wah u a talk boh?"

"Nothing."

I get in the car and dismiss my earlier thought because in reality I know it's her.

If it was Zahria wouldn't Skull see?

Then again Skull is high half the time so maybe he thinks most things are not real.

See I overthink too much. Let's just go to school and get through the day.

"Suh Zahria really deh yah?" Skull ask heading onto the main road.

"Looks that way. Did you know she was coming?"

"Nope. Nuh too deal from them long time deh inuh." He says then turn on the music.

I look over at him and I swear I see a little hurt in his face. Kahjeel, Dominique, Trey and Zahria are all related but somehow divided.

I never got the full story of why they don't really get along but whatever it is must be bad because they literally hate Zahria.

Skull is not very talkative like the others but when he does talk he spit facts.

I love being around him because deep down he is a very kind person and he always let you laugh.

"Babes, me soon forward me a drop off my sis." He says on his phone to a female.

"I'm your sis yet your starving me." I reply with a pout when he ends the call.

He takes a big sigh before turning to me "Ria, what you want to eat?"

I smile to myself because I'm getting my way, he treats me like a baby all the time. It's like I'm a princess around him and especially around Kahjeel.

1:45pm

My phone keeps going off for the past 15 minutes and I'm sure at any minute I will be kicked out from this lecture.

Kahjeel bought this phone for me last week and I still haven't figured out how to put it on silent.

"Miss Castell I'm sure you would like to leave the class and take your call."

I groan internally but grab my bags to leave. There is no point arguing my way out of this one or to even try.

I pull the phone as soon as I walk outside and it's a bunch of calls from Ashley.

I don't stop pressing until I see the phone on silent. If anything happened to Kahjeel or Skull, Nique would be calling not Ashley.

A light bulb go off in my head and I smile to myself. Zahria is there so maybe she is giving Ashley hell in the house.

Crazy meet crazier.

That gives me a little joy down in my stomach.

I hate how I spoke of the devil and she appeared this morning. She has been away at school for over a year so I don't even know why she is back.
