What the fuck am I going to tell my parents?

I glance down and I'm covered in her blood. Maybe I should have changed before I brought her to the bathroom.

"Mr Lewis, what's your relationship to her?" One of the nurse says looking at me.

"She a mi little sister."

"Thank you. Okay so the bullet went through the side of her head. It's basically a deep cut but she has a lot of swelling. The other three Bullets were recovered as well."

"Good."

"She will need therapy to get back mobility in her hand as well as help for day to day activities."

"Thanks." I walk back to the reception area where I see police officers talking to Diamond.

I walk up to them and they all stop talking to look at me. "Your Busshead?" One brave idiot ask.

"Wats it to you?"

"We were notified of a shooting in your residence yesterday and eye witnesses place you at the home."

"People haffi see me a the yard because she call me and tell me seh mi sister get shot."

The police look from me to Diamond with a puzzled look. That tells me that the little fucker might have said something to them.

I stoop down and rub my hand over her tummy and smile. "She is pregnant and we been trying for a while so I really wish you could come back another time."

The officers look at her again then nod. "I'll need to speak with you before Monday morning. Here's my card."

I take the card from him and watch him walk away with the others behind him. As soon as they turn the corner I throw the card in a nearby bin.

Diamond looks at me with fear in her eyes. "Suh u really think you smart doh?"

"I don't know what your talking about. I just want to go home" She mumble.

"Well you a mi baby mother doh. You nah go nowhere."

Just as I'm about to pull Diamond out of the reception area I see Skull with Maria in his arms with her lower half covered in blood.

My mind goes blank and I rush towards them in a panic.

"What happen to Ria?" I ask running behind them as she is placed on a stretcher. They rush wigh her into labour and delivery.

A hand is on my shoulder and another patting my back. "She go alright bro."

"Wah happen Skull?"

"She did alright when mi check pon her 30 minutes before and then mi hear Jody call mi and a suh mi see her a bleed."

"Fuck. Mi tell Ria seh lay ina bed and the fucking girl nuh listen dawg. If nothing do me baby or Ria a that time Zahria dead and mi swear."

"Wah you a talk boh Busshead?" Nique ask from behind me.

Before I can answer a nurse walk over to the group of us. "Who is Ms. Maria's family?"

"Mrs. And mi a her husband." I reply annoyed by the reference made.

"My apologies, I came to inform you that she I'd going into pre term labour and we will need things for mommy and baby. Once you get them please let us know."

She walk away to the huge desk in the middle of the hospital floor.

"Nique you and Jody go get some baby clothes and whatever else you need for them. Hold this." I hand them my black card then sit on the chair with my head in my hands.
