Maria Pov

I'm not going to sit and cry about this, I'm going out with my head held high and I'm going home.

I walk out of the room and to my surprise Jody is seated close by. She look up at me and I roll my eyes.

"What happened?" She ask as I sit down.

"I don't know, he is an asshole and I don't know how I didn't realise sooner."

"Maria to be honest you haven't said anything as yet."

"Exactly because there is nothing to tell. Can't two friends disagree?"

I close my eyes and welcome the silence as I let sleep take over

"Later babes I'll see you at school tomorrow."

"Yeah later Jody." I reply giving her a little hug before I move to the parked car.

I'm seated in the car waiting for Kahjeel when Skull walk over to the driver, whisper something then walk away without looking at me.

"What's going on?" I ask the driver who is now turning on the main road.

"Them say mi must carry you home."

I search for my phone and dial Kahjeel's number but it goes straight to voicemail so I try Skull's number and it's the same thing. Irritated I throw the phone on the seat beside me and growl.

Nobody tells me anything in this house and I hate it. It seamed like we were going to spend a few days over there and something happened but I can't guess what it is.

"We here." The driver says as he park.

He has no little common decency to assist me with my bags. I gather my things, slam his door and walk into the house.

No one seems to be at home so I head into my bedroom place the bags in my closet on the floor and head straight into the shower.

I walk out of the shower with my towel wrapped around me and one around my hair to find Zahria sitting on my bed.

"Can I help you?" I ask.

"You wish you could huh, anyhow I'm here to find out when you plan to leave my brother and this house alone?"

"Zahria I'm tired and I'm sure you are too, can you please leave so I can get dressed and head to bed."

She laugh then walk close enough Infront of me where I can hear her breathing. "Don't let me have to get you out my way."

"Don't take my kindness for meekness Zahria, I'm not a fighter but I'm no punk either. Leave me alone and I'll leave you alone, now goodnight."

"Your a brave bitch. Leave before I make you." She laugh slapping my cheek in a playful but dominant manner then walk out.

I ball up my fist with every intention to pull her back and give her the beating of her life but sometimes you have to choose the high road.

If I get in any conflict with her it will always be my word against hers and her family will definitely choose her. I don't know how to live without these people so if tolerating this demon is what I have to do to have a family well so be it.

I climb into bed after putting on my clothes and drift off to sleep.
