I glance at the phone and Kahjeel still hasn't replied as yet.

"Hey" Nique says walking in my room and flop down on the bed.

"What's wrong?" I ask pushing my books to one side of the bed.

She sigh then turn so we are facing each other. "Busshead fly in today cause police run in on us and then some things went missing."

"So Kahjeel is in Jamaica? So why isn't he home or answering my texts?"

"Ria, wah him ina bigger than text right now."

"How comes?" I ask worried now that he might be in some kind of trouble.

A call comes in on her phone and she walk out my room to answer and close the door behind her.

What does she mean?

What kind of trouble is he in?

This has me scared now than ever before.

I feel so weak and sick until it's not even funny. I don't think I can even finish the last class I have today, I'll be behind but I just have an awful feeling in my body.

Maybe I just need to rest up a bit since I spent most of my days worried about Kahjeel. I have sent him several texts but it goes unanswered and so are the calls.

I have not seen or heard from him since our last conversation two weeks ago and I'm a bit worried. Skull has been missing too and when he does come around it's like for a minute. They keep saying they dealing with stuff but at this point I don't know what to think.

Jody has been spending most of her time at her house because her father is doing a convention so we hardly talk and Nique is busy too.

I notice Brandy walking up to me just as I take a seat on the bench close by. We have not spoken since our last conversation when she told me she was pregnant.

"Hey, u nuh look good. What's wrong?" She ask putting her hand on my forehead.

"I don't know, maybe I just need to sleep." I reply looking up at her.

"Girl you a bun up, call skull to get you." She says sitting beside me.

I dial Skull but the call is just not going through, I try Nique and she answer on the first ring.

"Sup?"

"Can you pick me up from school please."

"Me cyah leave now. Wah do your driver"

"Says he's sick, so where is Kahjeel? Have you heard from him?"

"Nuh sure. Him good though caz him call me. Take a bus babes."

"Okay, I will later."

"Yeah later."

We end the call and I look over at Brandy who is texting on her phone.

"Who you texting?" I ask.

"My child's father. We had a fight and I wasn't speaking to him."

Before I can respond I notice Jody calling so I move away to answer. "Hey Jody."

"You nuh reach home yet?"

"No, gonna have to get a bus."

"How comes?"

"Skull phone seems off and my driver sick. I'll call you when I get home and fill you in."

"Okay, be safe."
