"Anyhow me a go pon the road me soon come back."

"Your leaving me by myself?" I ask watching her looking in the mirror.

"Your safe here, your man wouldn't leave you here if you wasn't."

I roll my eyes and she smile knowing she is irritating me.

"Fine, I'll just get some rest then." I close my eyes hearing her in the room moving around until I let sleep take over.

3:50pm

I open my eyes and Kahjeel is sitting on the bed with his phone at his ears.

He smile once he looks over at me and noticed that I'm awake fully. I try to climb off the bed but my legs feel sore. I sigh then whimper through the pain and sit up with my back to the headboard and notice that he brought food and change of clothes for me and place them on the dresser.

He is still on his phone so I take the opportunity and limp to the bathroom. I close the door and sit on the toilet so I can pee and go through my phone. There are 6 missed calls from Jody a few mentions on tiktok and Instagram as I go through the different notifications.

I call Jody back and wait for her to answer.

"Happy birthday!"

"Thank you. I was asleep when you were calling."

"I thought that much, anyhow I'm going to see you later so bye."

She end the call and that was very much weird.

"A your tripe you a pass out?" I hear Kahjeel call from the room.

I roll my eyes but smile. "Go away"

"Forward and come eat something, doubt you eat from mi leave this morning."

I smile thinking how this man knows me so well. I finish use the bathroom, wash my hands and face then open the door. He is laying in bed with his eyes closed and his hands behind his head when I walk out.

"Can't believe I have been sleeping since you left." I say biting into my burger.

"Eeh, you tired out mon." He reply laughing.

"So speaking of, what does this mean?"

He propp up on his elbow in the bed while looking at me. "Wah u a talk boh?"

"This, us, what we did. What does it all mean."

"You know my thing already."

I roll my eyes and place the burger I am no longer interested in eating back in the bag before I respond.

"Kahjeel, you have two people who you are seeing and we slept together so I'm asking you what are we doing?"

He rub his hand over his face and sigh. "Mi nuh know Ria, mek wi just move with the flow."

"That's the worst thing you can ever say to someone, especially after taking my virginity."

"Suh u regret it then a dat u a try seh?"

"I want to go home now."

"Every fucking time mi n u a reason or supn nuh go your way you wah go home."

"Yes because you don't know what you want and I'm not going to be a bad person because of you."

"Yes Kahjeel because I talk to these girls and yet still I ended up in bed with you. I'm not going to be one of them that does friends with benefits."

"Suh a it that you just wah left from round mi?" I can sense the hurt in his voice and I hesitate with my answer but I know I have to say it now.

I take a deep breath and close my eyes so I can somewhat soften the blow somehow.

"yes." I finally mutter low but loud enough to make my point clear.

He looks at me with so much anger in his eyes.

"See the door deh mi nuh stop you inuh." He reply then walk in the bathroom and slam the door shut.

I grab my car key from the dresser and head into the hallway to find two guys I don't recognise along with Ghost chatting in the living room. I walk past them and head outside to my car that is still parked in the lane.

As soon as I enter the car there is a knock on my window so I wipe my eyes and look up to see Ghost standing at my window signalling for me to roll it down.

"Boss want you inside."

"Which Boss? I'm going home." I reply starting the car.

"You can't pass the lane mouth suh is best you just forward inside from now."

I roll my eyes, shut off the car and open the door. I should have stayed home that's what I should have done.

Ghost escort me back inside and I attempt to walk into the room Kahjeel was in only for him to stop me and point to the room I was in before.

"Why should I go in that room?"

He shrug, "a just the instruction I was given."

"Fine."

I walk into the room and slam the door shut behind me. This is supposed to be a very happy day for me and this is how it turned out.

Loosing my virginity was supposed to be special, a candle lit dinner then brought back to a room decorated with rose petals and candles. Whoever the guy was, was supposed to confess his undying love for me and we would make love until the sun came up.

My reality is I slept with my bestfriend on my birthday of all the days and still single because he doesn't see me like that.

What a gift I have given to myself.

How can this day get any worse?

The room door open and he walks in with a big gift wrapped box and a card.

He place it on the floor and hand the card to me.

"I planned a birthday dinner for you and I would like you to still attend. Your dress is in the closet and someone will do your hair and makeup at 6."

I nod and he leaves without another word. So this is why Jody was weird earlier, they planned a birthday dinner for me.

7:30pm

"Girl you look so beautiful." Nique says looking at me.

"Thanks, so where are we going?"

"To a restaurant. Your man is gonna be hands on tonight."

I sigh and I know Nique is wondering why but I can't share this with her at all, I'm too embarrassed to let her know.

"Can you not say anything to anyone, I want this to remain between us okay."

"Fuck and look how mi did wah stunt pon Zahria she." She says fixing her hair.

"Yea, well don't. I'll drive with you okay."

"Okay."

She head out and I follow behind her to her car, thank god I get to drive with Nique and I plan to sit beside her for the entire night.

We pull up to the restaurant and I notice a few luxury cars parked at the front, that means a few of Kahjeel's friends are here.

I walk in and sure enough the table is full, Skull, Jody, Zahria, Diamond, Ghost and now myself and Nique. The only person missing is Kahjeel.

A loud sound is outside and we all turn to see what's happening, Ashley walk in first and my heart sink to the floor and sure enough Kahjeel walks in behind her.

Our eyes connect and instantly a tear fall, I quickly look up and make my way to the back of the restaurant.
