Maria Pov

I'm shocked to see Kahjeel and Diamond standing in the parking lot of the obgyn office.

I have not seen him in so long. He looks taller and even cuter than the last time.

She does not look a day pregnant and I'm sure she didn't follow Kahjeel to see another woman. Them being here is a mystery but if I know Kahjeel it's for a reason.

Alex escorts me inside and I sit while he speaks with the receptionist. A few minutes later Kahjeel walks in behind Diamond and they sit together on the opposite end of the room while I'm trying my hardest not to look directly at him.

Not because I don't want to but because Alex is now sitting with me and place his hand on my leg and squeeze it in an attempt to keep me in order.

"Ria is this what we are to each other now? You style mi fi him." Kahjeel says looking directly at me. His voice laced with hurt as he speaks.

I turn my head slightly towards him and open my mouth to say something when Alex squeeze my leg again then smile at Kahjeel.

"Best you avoid us okay." He says with a little humour to his tone.

I want to slap his hand away and rush towards Kahjeel but after what I have been told it's best I sit silently and endure this than ruin Kahjeel's life and that of his entire family.

My choices led me to be in this awful predicament but I won't hurt anyone else. My baby is the only thing I will have of Kahjeel and Alex swore to hurt my baby if I ever see Kahjeel and talk to him so because of that fact I'm going to remain silent.

"Pussy u wah dead in yah?" Kahjeel snap at Alex.

I don't need to look at Kahjeel to tell he is more than likely clenching his fist and has a frown on his face. Which also means that he is super angry.

"Maria, the doctor will see you now." The receptionist says and I'm relieved to go.

I stand and Alex place his hand on my lower back which make me flinch in fright.

He lean in a little closer to my ear. "Stop that." Then kiss my cheek and I put on my best smile.

I walk inside the room and I know the routine by now so I remove my clothes and climb on the bed and place bith legs up.

"Good morning, I see you already got situated. Today we are just going to listen to baby's heartbeat and do the normal." The doctor says smiling.

She has been so sweet to me since my first visit which helps me relax. I know she sees the few bruises Alex leaves on me but she has never questioned it which I'm greatful for.

She place the cold liquid on my now very visible stomach and start moving the device so we can listen the heartbeat and see my little baby.

"Oh my." She says looking at the screen and moving the device around.

I look up at her panicking because I'm not hearing anything.

"Doctor what's wrong with my baby? Why can't I hear my baby?"

"Oh hear we go. Our little baby was hiding." She says showing me the screen.

I relax and watch my baby on the monitor and listen the heartbeat, It's so strong.

"So doctor what kinda baby she having?" Alex ask and I roll my eyes but try to hide it.

"Well sir, Maria wants that to be a surprise at birth and I think we should respect that don't you think so?"

I hold in my laugh and watch as Alex furrow his brow at the doctor but refrain from responding.

"Get up and let's go." He grunt then turn to look at the machines in the office.

I reluctantly put on my clothes and say my goodbye to the doctor and follow Alex to the reception area.

Diamond has her head on Kahjeel's shoulder and he has his hand around her waist while he press his phone screen.

My heart sink to the floor with this scene and I try to hold in the tears forming in my eyes.

Alex lead me out of the office and we walk to the car. I climb in and he does while I buckle my seatbelt.

I turn to him and he slap me across the face twisting my face to one side.

My tears start flowing out none stop as I hold my bump with one hand and tense up for the next few blows that will reach me. After a few seconds I hear the car start and he look over at me.

"Wait until we reach home. You swear think your smart." He says in a harsh tone.

"I didn't do anything." I cry.

"You feel mi never see you a try quint him off?"

He look in the rearview mirror and hiss then drive off. I turn and look back to see Kahjeel running towards the back of the car and again my heart sink to the floor.

11:14am

"Get inside." Alex yell while pulling me by my hair inside the house.

He push me and I fall on the sofa. I know what's coming next so I angle myself in a position where I can atleast protect my baby.

Just as I expected he hit me on my shoulder and I wince in pain.

"You fucking slut. Feel like you can diss me after everything I do for you?"

He kick my leg but all I can do is cry in pain and endure it all until he gives up.

"Look at me bitch." He grab me by my hair and start fisting me in the face on rapid.

I can smell and taste blood at this point. I don't know where the courage came from but I start kicking until he shout and I stop feeling him over me.

I ease from the sofa and he is crouched down in pain. I grab his phone and rush towards the bathroom and close the door.

The only person I'm thinking of calling is Kahjeel. I dial his number and it ring straight out without an answer. I try again and it goes straight to voicemail.

Time is against me so the only other person I can think of is Jody. I pray she answers. The phone is about to go to voicemail when someone answers.

"Hello." An older voice says on the line.

"Please can I talk to Jody." I rush.

"Jody is in the bathroom. Who is this?" The lady says.

"Please just tell her to help me it's Maria....oh god."

Alex kick the door down and grab the phone from me. He slap me across the face again and all I can see is the place spinning and darkness taking over.
