I pull the shirt I have chosen over my head and take one final look in the mirror.

My hair is up in a ponytail, I have on a simple strap shirt with a shorts and my white slippers. I decided on just a simple chain for jewelry and my cross bag.

I walk out to the living room and Zahria is sitting there watching something on the television. I walk past her and head outside since she hasn't noticed me.

Kahjeel told his guys to take away both cars he bought me so I have resorted back to taking taxi because I can't call Nique to drop me off.

Just as I exit the gate a taxi stop at my feet and I quickly hop in and the driver drive off.

"Going to Ironshore." I ask searching for my cash.

"Can drop you out deh fi $15 bills."

"Okay no problem." I reply.

Thank goodness no one saw me leaving the house so now all I have to do is have lunch and get back home.

"We reach inuh." The driver says.

I pay him and walk to take a seat by the fountain with my head bent low. The place is pact considering it is a Monday and most persons should be at work.

"Hey" a deep voice says and I look up into light brown eyes.

"Hi"

"Have you been waiting for long?" He ask sitting beside me.

"No, I just got here. Why don't we go eat now cause I don't have much time."

He hands a small box with a red bow on it to me. "I got this in London for you."

I open the box and it's a chain with words forever entwined engraved on it.

"Thank you."

"Your welcome, let's go eat since your on a time crunch."

We both stand and he place his hand on my lower back as we both walk towards the Chinese restaurant Infront of us.

It feels awkward to be having lunch with a male otherwise from Skull or Kahjeel but it's just Alex and as I have been telling everyone he is just a friend.

"So how do you like the food?"

"It's okay." I reply not really paying attention.

"Are you still upset with me?"

"What! No. Water under the bridge."

Alex is making small talk with me since we got here but my mind is far away from him and what he is saying.

He scoop a little closer to me. "Good because I really want to do this."

He hold my chin and plant a soft kiss to my lips. The kiss is so soft it felt like I kissed a single petal from a plant.

He go in again and this time I open my mouth and return the kiss. I can't explain what it is but it's nothing compared to what I feel when Kahjeel kisses me.

"Ria!"

I turn around and Nique is looking over at me with a puzzled and shocked expression on her face.

My legs move faster than my brain and I stand to walk over towards her when Alex grab my hand.

"Where are you going?"

"That's my friend and I have to talk to her." I reply trying to pry his hand from my own but his grip is strong.

"I thought we came to have lunch so what's she doing here?"

"I don't know Alex but I'm sorry I have to go." He finally release my hand.

Nique shakes her head and by the time I walk out she is already in her car and waiting for me to get in.

The music in the car is low but apart from it no sound can be heard. The silence is almost too much for me.

Nique look over at me and I swallow hard and wait for my scolding. After a while I decide to speak first since she hasn't.

"That's Alex, the guy from school and we are just having lunch."

Nique isn't saying anything and it's driving me crazy because normally she is talkative.

The car comes to a stop at the gate and still Nique is quite and not looking at me. "Goodnight" I whisper then make my way outside.

The car speed away with so much force it almost hit the side of the gate.

Zahria rush outside after the noise and looks at me then at the closing gate.

"Mi affi go tell mi brother fi stop let in strays cause it's flee season."

"If he does that I'm sure you'll be disappointed to be left outside." I walk right past her and head inside my room.

I open my phone and it's a dozen missed calls from Alex. Before I can try to call him back a next call comes in from him.

"Hello"

"What's going on?"

"Nothing" I reply crying.

"It's not nothing. You know you can tell me."

"The girl today is my boyfriends cousin well my ex boyfriend and she saw us kissing after I told her we are just friends."

"What you mean ex boyfriend? Did you break things off or what?"

"He cheated and then broke up with me."

The line goes silent for a few seconds then I hear him clear his throat then reply. "He is a punk. I'm glad he broke things off so then our first kiss was especially special."

"What are you saying?"

"I'm saying I loved the kiss and I'll do it again if given the chance."

"Listen I have to go bye."

I end the call and close my eyes.

Why did I allow him to kiss me?
