Fuyaiyah began to think of how to leave the Civil Maiden's village around evening to get a ride back to her village and snatch those documents before the two men could.

When it was time for the three girls to help the other Civil maids plant trees and flowers, Fuyaiyah bumped into Junnie. They quietly squealed, and hugged each other.

"What did you have to do before this?" asked Fuyaiyah. "I didn't know we'd be setting off right after breakfast so I couldn't check on you."

"It's okay - you'd never intentionally left me hanging, Fuya. Luckily, the first thing we had to do was deliver outfits to the Royal Palace."

"Hmm? You were already able to go there?"

"Of course. You should be able to as well one day."

"What did you see at the palace? Oh, let me help you."

Fuyaiyah assisted Junnie in transplanting a tree.

"I don't know what in particular to tell you. We were supposed to deliver the outfits to the specified rooms, but the snobbish Palace Maids didn't let us go any further and delivered it themselves. Ugh."

"You didn't see any noble figures?"

"Just snobbish women. Why though?"

"I'm just trying to get familiar with who I may have to meet soon."

"Aww, Fuya. Even in captivity you're still prepared."

Fuyaiyah and Junnie laughed, but then remembered that they were, unmistakably, in captivity, and quietly went back to work.

"Hey!" called out a civilian from across them before coming over. "And what do two captive ladies have to laugh about?"

Junnie was wary, but Fuyaiyah after a moment of being annoyed, smiled.

"We're sorry if we inconvenience you. We're just happy to see each other."

"'Happy?' I don't understand. Do you not understand the predicament you're in?"

"We perfectly understand; which is why we valued seeing each other. Surely you can understand that - or do you not have anyone like that?"

Junnie elbowed Fuyaiyah with a smile. However, the civilian got agitated at the two maids - Fuyaiyah in particular - and kicked the tree Fuyaiyah and Junnie were about to put in the soil. The dirt fell apart, and the watering can that was in front spilled and got all over Fuyaiyah. Kithel saw the moment occur and went to get their Superior.

"You're definitely a new maid - because you're not properly trained. I shouldn't have to hear your laughter, and -" he raised his hand. "-most importantly, I shouldn't have to deal with your talk back!"

The civilian was about to slap Fuyaiyah, but suddenly, her Superior appeared behind her and stopped his hand.

"No need to discipline those under my supervision. I will reprimand her."

When Fuyaiyah thought she was spared, her Superior turned to her, and slapped her herself and started yelling.

"Your mind was elsewhere when I was advising all of you, and now look at what it brought you. Apologize to this person and go clean yourself up and get ready for the extra work I'm about to give you!"

Fuyaiyah apologized - finding the civilians pleased look distasteful, then quickly excused herself.

She walked away, lost in thought, but then saw someone that looked like Her Teacher carrying wood on his shoulders.

Fuyaiyah saw correctly; Her Teacher looked at her too. Both had surprised looks on their faces.

Her teacher began walking to her. But due to her standing idle for too long, another civilian began questioning her and starting trouble.

"Why are you just standing there? Huh?"

Her Teacher, instead, walked towards the civilian and pretended to accidentally bump into him with the pieces of wood he carried.

"Hey! Are you serious right now?"

Her Teacher smiled. "I'm very sorry; why are you just standing there?"

Then he walked past the civilian but gestured to his student to get going. Fuyaiyah scoffed at his horrible acting, but carried on with her business.

She found a little stream, and began to wipe herself. She looked around, and noticed that the path where she, and the rest of her remaining villagers, were led in to come here.

She looked at the path with a glitter in her eyes. Then she remembered her goal, and knew where she'd be coming tonight.

As a consequence from speaking the way she did to the civilian - and for taking too long to wipe herself down since Her Teacher came back and had a quick word with her, Fuyaiyah was sent back to the Civil area early and was told to clean practically every area of their part of the village, and help make dinner if she somehow finishes early.
