Princess Zyla, as if everybody else wasn't there, ran up to Fuyaiyah and pushed her.
"Why is it always you, Fuyaiyah?" she screamed, with an angry expression that everyone forgot Zyla could display.
Fuyaiyah didn't know what, among the countless things she's done, upsetted Zyla, but she was already feeling heavy guilt with sparkly eyes.
"What did I do?" she asked softly.
"I can't believe you killed my mother! Now you're about to kill my father?"
Her eyes widened, and Prince Tuquor hastily pulled her back. But she was infuriated with Fuyaiyah.
When Prince Tuquor was escorting his sister to the scene he wanted to show her, he entered the forest where Queen Veronica lay, passed away in the sunlight. The scene shocked him, but he didn't want his young sister to see such a view, and sharply turned to ride around the scene.
However, Princess Zyla saw something more than the white and brown colors of the forest, looked, and saw a glimpse of her mother.
She gasped.
"Was that my mother? Is she dead? Who killed my mom?"
Prince Tuquor said nothing but closed his eyes tightly. But, as Zyla had picked up on a long time ago, her brother only grew quiet about any information that would negatively affect his beloved Fuyaiyah.
"Fuyaiyah." thought Princess Zyla.
Fuyaiyah, being overwhelmed with the reminder, kneeled in the snow and began to beg Zyla.
"Zyla. I'm so sorry about your mother," she said softly. "I didn't want her to get killed. But no - your father will not die."
The Princess couldn't focus on her words; those who didn't know of the Queen's passing got rowdy. Fuyaiyah wanted to hold Zyla and look her in the eye, but she rejected her.
"I didn't want anybody to die, Princess. I've just been trying to come to an agreement with the King all this time."
Princess Zyla's blood boiled.
"All this time, you've always only focused on yourself! With no care for how whatever you do would affect someone else! My mother just passed away in the freezing snow and all you can still think about is your stupid village!"
Fuyaiyah was crying. Siomi stepped up to try to help her stand. He glared at Zyla.
"I also apologize about the Queen, but you're just a pampered Princess! What would you know of the hardships of Fuyaiyah!"
"I know you care for Fuyaiyah, but let Zyla mourn without getting ridiculed!" said Zyla's older brother.
"She's so spoiled that you're saying it's okay to mourn by making someone else feel awful?"
Fuyaiyah lifted her head, turning to Siomi.
"It's okay - let it go!"
"No, Fuya. You've been feeling down for a long time; I'm not about to let some kid put you down more!"
Prince Kyuni came out of nowhere.
"She's not some kid! She's the Princess! Show some respect!"
And, very quickly, around Fuyaiyah and Princess Zyla, there was arguing from the boys, and from others trying to dispel the heated argument.
The two females looked only at each other, with eyes filled with all of their sadness and grief. Fuyaiyah even thought she saw resemblance in Zyla to King Lenon, in a negative way.
"There's absolutely no way of making a decision without somebody being wrongly affected." thought Fuyaiyah. "But this cycle of neglected pain being turned into rage - must end!"
This time, when she tried to embrace Princess Zyla, she let her. They hugged tightly, and mourned for Queen Veronica.
Suddenly, King Lenon pushed his way through the crowd and to the two girls. He had stayed behind to think, but now he had come to a resolution.
The King got on his knees and joined his daughter and niece in a hug, despite his injuries. Once and for all, everybody fell still at the scene.
Slowly, the three stood up. Fuyaiyah looked at her Uncle.
"This battle needs to end. We only wanted to see whether you will let us go in peace."
Nali stepped up to her sister with a firm face.
"Fuyaiyah. I know you've always hung onto the thought of us departing from this Kingdom in peace and unharmed, but this man, and this Kingdom has done many things to us, and a lot of people for it to just be settled on your terms."
