The Kingdom of Everspring started off as a single honest village that turned into such a flourishing Kingdom with the help and trust of their neighbors. The Kingdom grew big, and was either a source of inspiration or a source of envy for the other neighboring villages.
The First King and Queen, never forgetting their origins as a small village, was always filled with mercy and kindness. Even against their enemies.
Having made their homeland flourishing, they also thought to make their bloodline flourish too, and had six lively children. Two sons and four daughters.
All of their children were obedient and active and the two Royal parents tried to raise all of their children equally. However, their second son, Lenon, showed signs of indifference.
To keep their young Princes and Princesses up to date with the events of the Kingdom, and the areas around them, the King would read aloud news that often contained some sort of violence, destruction, and other events rooted out of hate or jealousy. The King would read aloud such news, and both the King and Queen would discuss with their children how those events could've been properly handled.
Five of their children would nod their heads, and continue growing up as they were, but with wisdom. However, only Lenon showed signs of paranoia and anxiety.
These signs showed most often while they were in school; given with fake or real civilian issues from within the Kingdom, the teacher would ask the children how they would handle it. Five of their children had answers along the lines of the way they were brought up. Only Lenon thought to resolve the given problems in an unforgiving, harsh way.
The teacher would report to the King and Queen, who would then look at each other in confusion. Not knowing how a child of theirs was growing up with the opposite mind at the rest. Then, on one of the afternoons filled with peace, the King called for his second son to check up on him.
In actuality, Lenon cherished the laughter and smiles of his family and everyone around him. Knowing how prosperous his homeland became, and hearing the news of areas nearby getting destroyed out of envy or uncontrolled hatred made him paranoid about their Kingdom soon becoming a victim of such and longed for a form of assurance against his paranoia.
However, when called in by his father, Lenon didn't know how to explain his paranoia to his father, who was always seemingly filled with peace. So, as he and his father continued to speak, in the wrong way did the second son reveal his thoughts.
He had made his father upset. Having made him upset made Lenon see that his father was not thinking anywhere along the lines as he. In other words, he would not get assurance that he needed to calm his paranoia. The afternoon of that day was supposed to have been peaceful, but now, after Lenon left, the air turned troubling.
Two years passed since that day and now it was the season for the First King and Queen to see which of their older children would get the position as the next ruler. However, Lenon wasn't initially included in the decision, but so that they could check on their son's mental state of being, they decided to include him too.
Whenever a problem arose in their Kingdom, the King and Queen would listen to her children's opinions as to what to do and even try out their ideas to test them. But overall, the two parents just oversaw their kids and judge their abilities and their heart.
The older daughters and the older son already had good personal relationships with the civilians, so whenever they needed support or wanted to hold a public event, it was always successful.
The second son simply had trouble doing what his two older siblings were. Not only was he consistently making his paranoia noticeable, but when his siblings and teachers would advise and help him, pride grew around him like a shield and none of them could help him. The fact troubled the parents; making one quiet and seemingly in mourning, and making the other fall ill by the day.
Going towards the cooler season, their First daughter, Favour was chosen to be the best ruler over the Kingdom. Everybody else was more than accepting of having the First daughter's beauty, wisdom, kindness, and passion continue to lead the Kingdom.
However, knowing the state of Lenon, the King and Queen agreed secretly to have Favour set off on a "training period," in which she was sent off by her mother to a village that only the Queen and her husband knew. Then, as to not startle anybody, had their first son stand as temporary King.
The day of the announcement, and before Favour's departure, there was a huge celebration all throughout the Kingdom. Lenon was so highly upset that he couldn't contain his thoughts bred out of anger and hurt and kept himself in his chamber as everyone else celebrated with high spirits.
But even until the next morning did his fiery emotions not cease. It gave him a headache to stay by himself, so he went out with the intention to speak to his father or mother about their decision.
