TRYING TO GET MEREDITH'S spirit revived back in her is proving to be harder than expected. Daphne knows that after Derek's obvious decision to be with Addison rather than Meredith is taking a toll on her, but the Lawson has been trying her absolute best to make Meredith's time worthwhile, despite her split from Derek.
As they wait for rounds to begin, George begins to discuss the topic of Meredith, as is the rest of the hospital, "Well, we have to do something. Meredith's become, like, an exhibit . . . like a zoo animal — like that red panda that everyone stares at."
"Great analogy, Georgie," Daphne quips, as she stands amongst him with Izzie and Cristina — Izzie, who still isn't uttering a single word to her after the night in Joe's bar, despite Daphne's attempts to apologise.
"Please, don't say that to her face," Izzie advises strongly. "I think that panda died alone."
Cristina chuckles, and George turns his attention onto the Yang, "This could just as easily be you. If people knew about you and . . ." He mouths Burke.
"You take that back," Cristina hisses.
"No," George rebuts. "I'm just saying, we should do something to cheer her up."
Daphne, Izzie and Cristina share a smirk of mischief with one another. "Don't worry about it," Izzie dismisses.
"It's under control," Cristina assures.
"After today, Meredith sure won't be weeping over Derek," Daphne states, certain.
"What do you guys have going on?" George questions, feeling highly left out.
