The next morning, Yuri woke up to find that Seungcheol wasn’t in the room. A sense of relief washed over her, and she quickly made her way back to her own room, locking the door behind her.

She lay down on her bed, trying to process the whirlwind of emotions swirling within her. Her stomach felt uneasy, a confusing mix of nervousness and fear. Her mind replayed the events of the previous night, and she struggled to understand the intensity of what she was feeling.

Was it anxiety? The lingering dread of what might have happened if Seungcheol hadn’t come? Or was it something deeper, an unsettling awareness of the power he held over her? The emotions were tangled and unfamiliar, making it difficult for her to pinpoint exactly what she was experiencing. All she knew was that her body and mind were still reeling from the night’s events, leaving her in a state of anxious introspection.

Yuri snapped out of her thoughts as she heard a knock on her door. She opened it to find Vernon standing there, his usual cool demeanor on full display.

Hii,” he greeted with a bright smile.

“Oh, Vernon! Hi,” Yuri responded, her voice tinged with relief.

“I was just here to tell you to get ready—we’re heading out soon,” Vernon said, his tone upbeat.

“Really? Oh, okay. Give me 15 minutes,” Yuri replied, her spirits lifting at the thought of getting out.

Vernon’s smile widened. “Great! I’ll see you then,” he said before turning and heading back down the hallway.

After closing the door, Yuri felt a surge of relief knowing that Vernon was the one who had asked Seungcheol to let her out. The thought of spending time outside, away from the confines of her current situation, brought her a sense of optimism.

She hurried to the bathroom, eager to freshen up. The quick shower helped clear her mind and washed away some of the lingering anxiety from the previous night. Feeling a bit more composed, she prepared to meet Vernon and embrace the brief respite from her troubles.

Yuri descended the stairs quietly, her eyes catching sight of Vernon absorbed in his phone. She called his name softly, her voice barely above a whisper.

Vernon looked up from his phone and saw Yuri standing there, softly calling his name. The sight of her in that dress caught him off guard, and he couldn't help but admire how beautiful she looked. The floral dress, delicate and feminine, complemented her figure perfectly, giving her an air of elegance. The soft cream cardigan draped over her shoulders added a touch of warmth and coziness, enhancing her natural beauty. Her hair, styled in loose waves, framed her face gently, and her eyes seemed to sparkle with a mix of innocence and determination.

For a moment, Vernon was lost in the sight of her, appreciating the simple yet stunning way she presented herself. She looked like a breath of fresh air, effortlessly beautiful, and he couldn’t help but smile as he took in the image before him.
