As the sun began to rise, Yuri was in the kitchen, focused on preparing breakfast when she suddenly felt a pair of arms wrapping around her from behind. A shiver ran down her spine as a familiar scent filled the air—she knew exactly whose it was.
She turned around and gave him a slight shove, which only seemed to irritate him. It was Choi Seungcheol, the man she couldn't stand.
“What’s wrong, baby? Not even a good morning?” he teased with a smirk.
She tried to pull away, but he tightened his grip, pulling her closer. Despite her attempts to wiggle free, his strength was undeniable.
Leaning in, he whispered with a teasing bravado, “You know I have a meeting today, and Hoshi will be with me. What if I tell him about your little kiss session with Jun? And me?”
He was clearly enjoying the moment, his smirk growing wider as he played this game of blackmail.
Yuri's eyes widened in shock, disbelief flooding her expression. “You wouldn’t dare!” she exclaimed, trying to mask her panic with defiance.
“Oh, but I might,” he replied, feigning innocence. “Think of the chaos it would cause. Just imagine Hoshi's face when he hears about it.”
Yuri took a deep breath, her heart racing but she gathered all her courage. “You’re such a jerk, choi Seungcheol. You don't even care about your teammates feeling.”
He shrugged, still keeping that playful demeanor, but his expression shifted as he grabbed her arm firmly. “It’s tempting, you know, seeing you with that tongue of yours, bold enough” he said, his voice low. “But don’t you dare talk to me like that, okay? I dont like YOU being bold enough. Ok darling”
With that, he released her and turned to leave, casting a final warning over his shoulder. “Just remember, I’m not someone you will escape, Yuri.”
As he walked away, she felt a surge of determination and called out, “I’ll change it! I’ll change this place and its people!”
Seungcheol paused, glancing back at her, curiosity replacing his earlier amusement. “You really think you can do that?”
Yuri straightened her posture, confidence radiating from her. “Yes. I know what this place needs—a spark of hope, Change is never easy But I won’t back down. I’ll create a safe space where they can share their fears and dreams, where they can realize that they’re not alone.I’ll remind them that there’s beauty in vulnerability.
I’ll make them realize that the darkness they’re hiding is just an illusion,” she continued, her voice steady. “They think they’re safe in their shadows, but light reveals the truth. I will show them that their fears and insecurities are nothing. The reality is that they can be free, and I’ll be the one to lead them into that light.”
Seungcheol looked intrigued now, his smirk widened. “Sounds ambitious. But what if they resist? What if they push back?”
“I won’t let anyone stay trapped in their darkness. I’ll shine a light so bright that they can’t ignore it. And you, Seungcheol, might just find that you’re not as invincible as you think. I promise you there'll be one day when you yourself be one of them.”
With that, she turned back to her breakfast preparations, a newfound resolve in her heart. Seungcheol stood there for a moment longer, contemplating her words, before shaking his head with a smirk and walking away, intrigued by her boldness.
As Yuri completed her work in the kitchen, she glanced at the clock, which now indicated 8 a.m. Taking a deep breath, she headed up to the first floor where Dino, Vernon, and Seungkwan’s rooms were located. The peaceful morning seemed to contrast with the tension she still felt lingering from her encounter with Seungcheol earlier.
