The warmth of DK's arms felt both comforting and confusing as he finally set Yuri down. She looked around, her eyes widening at the cozy setup that awaited them. Decorative fairy lights twinkled softly, casting a warm glow over a charming sitting area adorned with plush pillows and a soft blanket spread across it.

“Wow, this is… beautiful,” she murmured, momentarily forgetting her frustrations. The ambiance was inviting, almost magical, and it made her heart flutter with a mix of curiosity and uncertainty.
DK smiled at her reaction, stepping closer to the blanket. “I wanted to create a space where we could talk and relax—just us,” he said, his voice tinged with hope.
Yuri hesitated, her emotions still tangled from their earlier conversation. “It’s nice,” she admitted, glancing at the soft pillows arranged invitingly.
He gestured toward the pillows, inviting her to sit. After a moment's pause, she finally gave in and settled down on the blanket, her heart racing. DK joined her, sitting close enough that their knees touched, but maintaining a respectful distance as they both took a breath to settle into the moment.
As the soft glow of the fairy lights enveloped them, Yuri felt her defenses beginning to lower, the warmth of the atmosphere mixing with the tension lingering in her heart. “So, what do you want to say?” she asked, her curiosity piqued despite her lingering reservations.
DK held Yuri's hands, bringing them gently to his cheeks, his gaze pleading. "Yuri... I know why you’re upset with me. But trust me, I never wanted to hurt you—"
"But you did, DK," she interrupted, her voice steady but filled with emotion. "You hurt me but you hurted mina unnie more."
He looked down, guilt washing over his features.
Yuri continued, her heart racing as she confronted him. "It’s not just about Mina, though. It's about how girls feel. Do you even realize how much it hurts when someone they love doesn’t care about their feelings? I get that you two were friends with benefits, but if she started developing feelings for you, you should have ended things nicely. You should have told her how you truly felt."
She took a breath, trying to keep her emotions in check. "But instead, you were rude and arrogant. I was really hurt when you shrugged it off, saying that you already told her there were no strings attached. Why did you have to say that?"
DK's heart sank further with each of her words. "I know, I messed up," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I thought I was being honest. I didn’t think she would get attached. I was just trying to be upfront."
Yuri shook her head, frustration bubbling to the surface. "Being upfront doesn't mean being callous, DK! There’s a way to be honest without tearing someone down. You could have treated her with more compassion. How do you think that made her feel? Or how do you think I felt seeing you act like that?"
