"A party?" I ask, "I dunno. I've got work to do."

"Please," Felix insists, "It's my first party at college. I need someone to show me the ropes."

"Ask Minho."

"Han's not going either, so why would Lee?"

"I guess I could fill these out quickly, and I'll chaperone you."

"Not chaperone... Just like--"

"Babysit?"

"I just want a friend with me."

"Oh," I smile, "You should've just said that to begin with. Give me like fifteen minutes. I gotta finish going through this contract."

"Ooh, what's it for?" he looks over my shoulder at the pile of papers, "Yang Jeongin? Funny, that's the same name as my ultimate bias."

"Weird," I scan the page to make sure it's properly filled out.

Jeongin's not an idiot, so it's pretty neat. I read his conditions that he stapled to the back. I want to give the idols as much freedom as possible while still upholding their public image. It's hard to refuse his requests especially because of what happened at his previous label, but some of his requests were just plain goofy. Luckily, this seems to be the final draft of the contract. It's not outrageous.

"Hold on, why is this paper going on about public image?" Felix asks, "What kind of contract are you signing?"

"The more you talk to me, the longer it'll take me to get ready for the party."

"Oh, sorry," he sits down on my bed.

"Don't worry about it. Just trying to get you to your thing," I say as I read, "Say, what kind of party is it anyway?"

"Just like a... We survived the first three weeks typa thing."

"The fuck is it on a Sunday night?"

"I dunno."

"Must be hosted by some freshie. Where is it?"

"A couple of blocks away. Some student lives nearby."

"Oh, it's probably Kim Haneul's place."

"Who is that?"

"She's a third-year. Her party's are always hype."

"Yeah?"

I sign the papers and put them into my accordion folder thingy. I throw a sleeveless, white button-up over my black tank.

"Where's Hyunjin?" Felix asks, "I would've made him come too."

"I dunno. He said something about celebrating his friend's birthday."

"Cool, are you ready?"

I nod, "Let's go."

The house is within walking distance, and I don't wanna have to worry about driving back.

As we're walking, Felix's mind goes back to my contract, "So why are you worried about public image?"

"Not my public image. My client's. I can't really tell you more for legal reasons."

"What do you--"

"How drunk do you plan on getting tonight?"

"I dunno... I kinda wanna get fucked up. My girlfriend broke up with me this weekend."

"So don't look for you if I leave early? Rebound stuff."

"Right."

"Well, I'm not really planning to drink too much, but we'll see how it goes. I guess, I never plan on drinking really."
