A happy affair
Exactly what life is not
Life is about fighting monsters
Day in and out
Till your dreams replay your battles
It's about crying endless tears Just to find the smiles that have been hidden
You get new scars each day
And learn a new way
To make it
We realize we're beautiful
But never perfect
Because people never are
Though, we're loved all the same
Our success and mistakes make us
We go straight and take too many turns
We satisfy and are satisfied
About where and who we are
We lust and crave
To be somewhere and someone else
Taking chances to become
What we think we are not
Take risks to become
What we want
We wait to do the things we plan
And suffer or enjoy what's unplanned
Life's about growing up and becoming a grown-up
Understanding that society's a tyrant
And we choose which flow to follow
But may never get what we want
No one can give you happiness
Though it seems, they can always take it away
If life were to be a happy affair
Then we'd all be stuck in fear
Because life just doesn't go that way
But we can't throw ourselves away
When there are reasons to stay
It's about finding those reasons
An amusement park of rides
And we're there all day
Winning prizes and getting sick
Excited and tired
Wiring and unwired
Until we've arranged a happy affair
