The Curse Called Sight

Maybe seeing is a curse

One bestowed on others

We think with our eyes

And forget values

The value for morals

Despite the covers

Colors and types become

Definition and behavior

We're stereotypes

Not feelings and thoughts

Not virtues, not human

Erase what we see

Trash the prejudice

Kick hate to the street

Think of one by emotion

How they make you feel

Friendship or love

Acquaintance

Or none of the above

Let your heart decide

Wear the invisible blindfold

And recognize one by

Who they are inside
