Some don't recognize
A bond so strong
It lasts to the end of time
When we're long gone
It builds you up
When you're down
And teaches you
To stand your ground
They are not made by blood
But through a deep love
It's loyalty not ecstasy
Your happiness remains above
The good ones won't leave you
They'd stay forever true
The bad ones that destroy
Take humanity in exchange for decoys
The ones you hold dear
The ones that don't care
Will impact your being
For better or worse
Because in the end, your family matters
Throughout life's course
