"Wow, you look great," Alhaitham said, his eyes glued to Kaveh in admiration.

"We're here too, you know," came a voice from behind, making Alhaitham realize Kaveh's parents were right there.

"Oh! Sorry-uh, you two look amazing as well. Please, come in." Alhaitham quickly composed himself, giving an apologetic smile.

As they walked in, Kaveh leaned closer, teasing, "Are you okay? You look more nervous than me."

"I should be the one nervous, not you," Kaveh nudged him playfully with his elbow.

Before Alhaitham could respond, a loud scream echoed from the living room. "Oh my god!"

Startled, both Kaveh and Alhaitham rushed into the room, only to find their mothers hugging each other tightly, almost in tears.

"What happened?" Kaveh asked, utterly confused.

"Sarah!" Alhaitham's mother exclaimed, holding Kaveh's mother's face in her hands with joyful disbelief.

"Abia!" Kaveh's mother responded, equally emotional as she mirrored the gesture.

"It's been too long!" Abia's voice trembled with nostalgia.

Kaveh's father stepped forward, shaking hands with Alhaitham's father. "It's good to see you again, Haidar."

"You too, Keyan," Haidar replied warmly, giving a firm handshake.

Kaveh and Alhaitham exchanged baffled looks. "What's going on?" Alhaitham finally asked.

"We all used to study at the Akademiya together," Sarah explained, eyes twinkling with fond memories.

"Alhaitham, you didn't tell me Kaveh's parents were Sarah and Keyan!" Abia scolded lightly, still holding onto her old friend.

"I didn't know you all knew each other!" Alhaitham confessed, equally surprised.

"Well, now we do," Keyan laughed, clapping Haidar on the back. "Seems like fate's bringing our families together again."

Kaveh couldn't help but grin, leaning into Alhaitham and whispering. "Guess our relationship was meant to be, huh?"

Alhaitham gave a small smile, his nerves easing. "Maybe it was," he said softly, glancing at the room now filled with warmth and laughter as both families reunited.

"Why don't we sit down?" Alhaitham suggested, guiding Kaveh's parents to the comfortable couch while his own parents took seats on the adjacent armchairs.

Once everyone was seated, Abia and Sarah began to catch up, their conversation flowing naturally. "It's been ages since we last saw each other," Abia said, her voice full of warmth. "I can hardly believe it."

"I know," Sarah agreed, nodding enthusiastically. "We used to spend so much time together back in the Akademiya. Those were some of the best years of my life."

Keyan and Haidar joined in, reminiscing about old times. "Do you remember that prank we played on Mr Osamn?" Keyan laughed a twinkle of mischief in his eyes.

"Oh, how could I forget?" Haidar chuckled. "our parents had to come in! We were in so much trouble."

The conversation flowed seamlessly as they shared stories of their Akademiya days, each memory sparking more laughter and anecdotes. Kaveh and Alhaitham watched with amusement as their parents caught up on lost time, the warmth of the room making them feel more at ease.

Kaveh leaned closer to Alhaitham, whispering, "Looks like they're having a great time."

Alhaitham nodded, his eyes softening. "Yeah, it seems like everything is falling into place."

"Not to mention," Kaveh said with a playful grin, "we have an excellent dinner to look forward to."

"It's good to see you all doing so well," Sara said warmly. "You've achieved so much, and your son Alhaitham, he's such a gentleman. You really did an amazing job raising him."

"Thank you," Abia said, looking at her son with pride. "But with Alhaitham, it wasn't just us; it was all him. He's always been driven and kind. I wouldn't have it any other way."

"I'm glad to see you two still together after high school," Abia continued, smiling. "You were the iconic high school sweethearts. You've raised Kaveh so well, -way better than we could ever. I can tell he's going to be very successful."

She then looked at Kaveh "Kaveh, I'm sorry for how I acted the last time we met," she said sincerely. "I was so focused on my own concerns that I didn't see things from your perspective."

"Me too," Haidar added, nodding in agreement. "I apologize if I seemed harsh or unsupportive."

Alhaitham, feeling the warmth of the reconciliation, placed a reassuring hand on Kaveh's back.

"It means a lot to both of us that we could clear the air and start fresh. Thank you for understanding. I understand that doing art is not a subject you can go far in, even my parents were hesitant at first, but if you try hard enough, anything can happen"

The mood in the room shifted to one of mutual respect and understanding. As the dinner was served, the conversations continued, filled with laughter, and hopeful talks about the future.

The families enjoyed the meal together, each dish prepared with care. The evening ended on a high note, with promises to stay in touch and a sense of optimism about the relationships between them all

"Hey, let me walk you out first," Alhaitham said, gently nudging Kaveh.

The two made their way to the front door, leaving the four inside to continue their conversation.

"That really went better than I expected," Alhaitham admitted with a relieved exhale.

"It truly did," Kaveh agreed, smiling. "Who would have thought they were friends in high school?"

"I'm glad, though," Alhaitham said, his smile widening as he looked at Kaveh. "It feels good to see everyone getting along."

Kaveh nodded, taking Alhaitham's hand in his. "Yeah, it really does. It's nice to see our families connecting"

Alhaitham squeezed Kaveh's hand gently. "I was nervous about tonight, but seeing how well everyone got along makes it all worthwhile."

Kaveh leaned closer, resting his head on Alhaitham's shoulder. "I'm just glad we could share this moment with them"

As they reached the front door, Alhaitham paused and turned to Kaveh, his expression soft and sincere. "Thank you for tonight. And for everything."

Kaveh looked up at him, his eyes warm. "You did well Alhaitham"
