Ch 8: Altercation

"What the hell?!"

The villain grunted as I threw a large amount of water his way, sending him flying from the power. Using the same water that I threw him with, I freeze him.

"You bitch!"

I smirk but I can hear another villain heading my way and freezing the water I have floating in my palms, I throw icicles towards him. I impale his clothes and make him stuck to a rocky wall.

"Ugh!"

I turn to the bi-colored male to see how he was doing and could see Shouto was doing pretty well on his side. Having already frozen many villains.

One of the villains yelped in pain as a thick layer of ice surrounded him. Shouto breathed out, looking as impassive as usual though there was a darker edge to him.

"Your plan was to scatter us and kill us...?" Shouto breathed out as he repeated the words of the fog villain. "It looks to me you are just some underlings that can barely use your own quirks properly."

"This brat...!" One of the frozen villains yelled out, enraged.

I frown and with a wave of my hand, the frost that the villain was covered with became sharper and looked spiky.

"Don't be rude, I just need to raise it slightly and it will cut through your skin."

"W-what...?!" The villain looks at me fearfully.

"Are they really just kids...?!" Another one, that I froze spoke out.

Shouto begins to walk and I walk beside him. We are both deep in thought.

I couldn't help but think about our current predicament.

Huh... I thought it'd be harder...

I notice the criminals shiver as they can't withstand the cold.

I did feel the coolness but it wasn't unbearable or even to the point of shivering.

I feel thankful that I trained in snowy areas as it seemed to give me resistance to cold weather.

I used to be resentful to my grandpa for making me train in harsh, cold weather but it proved useful in situations like this.

I saw a green-clad villain race towards us with a smirk on his face. Apparently, not seeing the frozen villains around him and without a second thought, I send a wave of water his way and freeze it as soon as it makes contact.

I hear a sound behind me and see a now-frozen spear too close to comfort.

My eyes widen at the object and the frozen villain who's holding the weapon.

I hadn't even noticed him...!

Unsurprisingly, Shouto had noticed him and frozen the villain in his tracks before breaking the spear with his hand.

"Are you okay?" He asked, his eyes showing concern.

I nod, "Yes, I'm fine. Thank you."

He nods back and looks towards the green-clad villain I just froze.

"Hey, at this rate your cells will slowly die. I want to be a hero so I'd like to avoid doing something so cruel if possible." He furrows his brows, his expression glacial. "On what basis do you think you can kill All Might?" His hand is now hovering over his face and releasing frosty air.
