After Akari's victory from Iida, more battles elapsed and before long it was once again her turn to battle, only this time it would be against Bakugo, whom she considered her strongest rival. Akari was in the waiting room, trying to think of a strategy to win against him.

Should I freeze his hands? No, he'll just create an explosion and break the ice. What if I-

"Hey! Earth to Mizuno!" A rough voice jerked her awake from her thoughts.

"Eek! What is it?" Akari asked as she looks at Bakugo.

"Why are you spacing out for?" The ash blonde male asks.

"I'm nervous about our battle." Akari admitted.

"Hah! Sucks for you." He says with a mocking laugh.

Akari pouted, "What? You're not even a bit worried about going against me?"

"I'm not worried about going against anyone." He replied confidently.

"Hmm, well don't even think about asking me for a power up. Because it's not happening for this battle." Akari informed him.

"Hah!" He scoffed. "As if I need it."

She narrowed her eyes, "Are you underestimating me?

He raised his brow, "Why the hell would I do that? I know perfectly well just how powerful your quirk is. I'd be an idiot if I'd underestimated you."

Akari smiles, feeling flattered to hear that.

"I just know how powerful I am, which is why I have no worries." Bakugo smirked proudly.

Akari's smile disappears as Bakugo's usual smugness makes a quick comeback.

Akari could simply remind him of his losses to both Midoriya and Shouto to quickly bring him down his pedestal but seeing as they were about to battle, pissing him off wouldn't be the wisest decision.

Before long, it is time for their battle to start so they both head into the arena.

Present Mic begins his presentation but they both ignore him as Bakugo yells at her with a smirk.

"You better not hold back on me! Forget all your love drama and focus on this match!"

Her cheeks flushed in embarrassment, "I know that! You don't need to remind me!"

"Heh! Well, you better, 'cause I for sure won't hold back." He smirked.

"Neither will I." Akari replied with a determined smile.

"Start!!"

The crowd roars, Akari immediately condensed the moisture in the air. Bakugo propelled towards her with a maniacal grin on his face.

"SHOW ME WHAT YOU GOT, MIZUNO!" he screams, outstretching his right palm.

She throws a wave of water at his face before he landed his explosion on her which made him fly back.

She quickly absorbed more moisture from the air and threw a water beam to his hands where she knew his quirk came from.

If I soak his hands and arms, he will not be able to produce his explosions and I can send him out of bounds!

He moved his arms and the water hit his upper arm instead. She froze the water after it made contact.

I'll condense water on top of him as he's going to be focusing on me and the ice on his upper arm to see it.
