Ch 20: Meeting my future father-in-law

Akari walked out of the secluded area and headed to the main hall that would lead to the mess hall.

As she walked, her thoughts are slightly dampened as she thinks back to her soulmate. Akari sighs as she looks down at her arm.

Is he really the one...?

So deep in her thoughts, she's not looking where she's walking and soon she bumps into a firm chest.

"Oof...!"

She massages her forehead as she looks at the stranger whom she had bumped into.

It is a strong, tall man, that was dressed in a red and black hero costume. He had a fire beard and a fire mask around his eyes and had a scowl etched on his face.

What mostly stood out from him apart from his fiery beard and mask was his crimson hair.

It's like... Shouto's hair...

Or half of it anyway.

When his eyes narrowed, Akari quickly realizes she had been gawking at the stranger without apologizing.

"Oh! I'm sorry for bumping into you!" She quickly apologizes and bows.

"Hmph! Watch where you're walking!" The man says in a gruff tone.

He begins to walk away and as he does she thinks about how familiar he looked, then realization hit her.

It's Endeavor! The number 2 hero!

How did I not notice it before?

He began walking away when Akari noticed a paper on the floor, she imagined that he must have dropped it and swiftly picks it up.

"Excuse me! I think you dropped this." She calls out to him and holds out the crumbled paper.

Endeavor turns around and narrows his eyes, "I didn't drop any-"

He was saying when his eyes widened and he walked closer to her.

Instead of grabbing the paper, he grabbed her wrist and pulled her closer to him.

"Aah!" The blue eyed girl cried out, not expecting him to grab her.

He didn't seem to care about her yell or her panicked expression instead focusing on her arm or to be precise her soulmate mark.

"It's the same..." he mumbled, seeming to be in his own world.

"Um..." Akari uttered, still feeling confused.

He finally took off his eyes off her mark and let her wrist go.

"Is that a soulmate mark?" He asked gruffly, his piercing turquoise eyes staring down at her.

"Yes, it is." she manages to say without stuttering.

Could the mighty Endeavor actually be interested in soulmates?

"You... are you Sho-" Endeavor was saying when a familiar bombastic voice rang out.

"Endeavor! Long time no see!" All Might said, ever-so enthusiastically.

Endeavor's cold gaze turned ever harsher when he saw All Might.

"All Might..." He all but growled.

Akari started to look nervously between the two top heroes.

"Ah, young Mizuno! I didn't know you were talking with Endeavor." All Might exclaimed when he noticed her.

"Oh! Well yes, somewhat." She said with a shaky smile, not really knowing how to explain her interaction with Endeavor.
